MARIO GOLF (N64)
One of my all time favorite Mario AND Sports games ever--Mario Golf on the Nintendo 64 will go down as one of my favorite titles for the last of Nintendo's Cartridge Family.
If you've played the game, then you may have differing opinions on it, but I always find it to be really fun to play.
The game features an array of Mario standards: Mario, Luigi, Peach, Bowser, DK, Yoshi, etc.---But it also features a handful of NEW characters: Charlie, Plum, Maple, Sonny, Harry.
Yoshi was always my fave, but Charlie was usually my 2nd Choice.
Like all other Mario Golf titles--this game features your standard Game Modes: Free Play, Tournament, Mini Golf--etc.
There are, of course, many of characters to unlock, including Metal Mario--who's easily the BEST in the game. (But I always used the UNLOCK ALL CHARACTERS Gameshark Code to save pain and suffering)
It's your basic "3-Click" Golf game, with a Power Meter---and ways to switch Clubs, and Shot Styles. Not a whole lot of skill is required in the early Courses, but factor in the Wind, and just like in REAL Golf, you'll want to get a Mulligan.
OH--and if you own the Gameboy Color version, and a Transfer Pak--you can unlock 4 Mystery Characters on the N64 version--who you'll see in the Games END Credits Video.
-----------------------
Graphics--7/10: basically the same look as SUPER MARIO 64, despite it being 3 years later--but you look past them as you're having fun.
Music--8/10: some really great music, each course has it's own unique theme, and I'll find myself humming it while I'm playing.
Gameplay--9/10: One of the best N64 games, and best Golf games I've played--and the great roster of Mario characters, PLUS the Original ones are cool.
Replay Value--9/10: Depending on whether or not you like golf really--but I found myself doing my own "tournaments", where I'd play 4-Players, and do a Playoff System--and other ways to kill time.
Overall--9/10: I'd play this game over a TON of other games anyday(which I need to play again)--plus Mario+Golf is just a WIN for me.
