AN EPIC IN THE WORKS
Capcom's Yoshinori Ono, in a recent interview has stated that the company IS considering the Western release for another game in the MONSTER HUNTER Series, for all consoles including Wii U--MONSTER HUNTER FRONTIER G--which is a MMORPG(Massive Multiplayer Online RPG).
It WILL have a Monthly Subscription Fee, which could turn people off, but with the wild success of the MH games globally, it seems to be a smart move to finally give the rest of the world a chance to play the MMORPG set in the world of the Series.
Here's Ono's quote:
The letter ‘G’ in the title implies it’s compatible with a wide range of platforms, including PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360, and PC. We’re also planning to extend this support to PlayStation Vita.
The reason why we have increased our support for so many hardware platforms is because we have our sights set on distributing services for this game in the future outside Japan. We simply can’t release a game as it is, but need to adapt all the necessary services to the unique characteristics of each region. In preparation for that, we’ve broadened our scope and started launching individual titles across multiple hardware platforms.

The game, MONSTER HUNTER FRONTIER G is an extension of the already existing PC game, MONSTER HUNTER FRONTIER ONLINE--which came out in 2007, and then on XBOX 360 in 2010--and have been updated and expanded ever since, meaning there will be NO shortage of things to do in a possible US/Europe Release.
Question is: Would Pay-to-Play Online gaming, even with the MONSTER HUNTER fanbase and popularity, go well?
We'll have to see and wait.
