3DS Reaches over 11 million sold in US

SELLING LIKE 3D HOTCAKES!!

The 3DS continues to sell, and sell well in the US, as in 2013 it passed 11.5 million units sold, and topped the 35 million-sold worldwide. Plus 3DS games topped 16 million sold last year, reaching 122 million sold since it's 2011 launch worldwide.

Nintendo's Marketing Executive Scott Moffitt said this about the present and future of the 3DS, which has several BIG titles coming out this year, including YOSHI'S NEW ISLAND, and a new KIRBY title as well:

Nintendo 3DS is a powerhouse with games and experiences that appeal to all kinds of players.

And a comparison has to be brought up, as the 3DS main competition--the PS VITA--reached 5.6 million, about 1/6th of 3DS sales.

Personally I'd say that Playstation needs to give up the handheld game, save money, and stick to consoles.

Nintendo is a family friendly giant (mostly....Conker's) so obviously they are going to sell very well. I'd have no doubt that it will still sell.

no one thought the PS VITA would really out-sell any Nintendo handheld, but when the PSP was even outselling it at one point, there was a problem...
