Has anyone played Wii games via the Wii U gamepad?

Has any one here tried playing their Wii game via the Wii U gamepad yet? :/

Apparently the gamepad is just used as a tv & you still have to use the wiimote & nunckuck to play the game with. But I was just curious if anyone here has tried doing this yet. I haven't tried this yet; though I probably should just to see what it would be like.. xD

I know Samus has, and it's just gotta be bizarre--playing on such a TINY screen.

I'd be almost willing to try it if I were to transfer my Wii data over, so i could see how GOD Awful Rockband would be on a tiny little screen

I have, it's an ok feature, but it's annoying that you can't use the gamepad controls with games that don't require motion

Yea I agree Samus2008. I would love it if I could play the Wii games using the gamepad controls; because playing with the Wiimote just seems silly. >.<

I've actually done it a few times now, using the gamepad sound(and headphone jack) for sound, while playing Rockband on my TV(on mute), so I can play it late at night, and not get yelled at for ROCKIN' too loud!!

I didn't know this was a feature, neither am I compelled or excited to try.sounds silly to me.

it's not really THAT necessary if you don't share ONE TV in your house...

it's still a nice option though

It's not a bad option. I guess it's a workaround for people who desire the tv whileyou have the urge to play some games lol

I play Modern Warefare 3 on it, while playing the PS3 version at the same time. It was an interesting experience.
