ALREADY A MARVEL'OUS GAME
CONTAINS SPOILERS
It's only been out a couple days, but LEGO Marvel Super Heroes has quickly sucked me into itself, taking many of the GOOD things from TT Games past LEGO titles, including LEGO City Undercover(Wii U), LEGO Batman 2: DC Heroes, and the other MANY titles produced in the last decade by one of the best developers out there.
LEGO MARVEL SUPER HEROES, without going TOO spoiler'y has been a fantastic game in just over 10 hours of gameplay, and includes a good chunk of Marvel Heroes: S.H.I.E.L.D, the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and an array of Super Villains--ALL compiled into a really great story line, and set in the Marvel HUB of New York City(which, if you know your MARVEL Comics, is usually the location of many of the stories and characters).
Starting with the FIRST level--where you take control of the Incredible Hulk and Iron Man--fighting against a tough villain: SANDMAN(from Spider Man 2 fame), and takes off from there. They even throw in the first of MANY Stan Lee's you have to save in the game, who I found by chance, and then realized I'd have to take a LOT of time in the eventually unlocked FREE PLAY to find ALL of the Marvel Comic Patriarch.
The following levels--a total of 26 in the game, of which I'm 1/2 way through--pick up and a story develops where the combined Heroes of Marvel have to stop the evil God Loki, Dr. Doom(Fantastic Four), and Magneto--who have plotted to use the COSMIC Bricks found from the shattered surfboard of the intergalactic hero, SILVER SURFER---OH, and yes, that means Planet Earth may be consumed by GALACTUS--so there's a definite problem to deal with, ASIDE from the Trio of Villainy already on Earth.
As I've played through half the levels, and doing what one does in a LEGO game: collect Studs, beat up lackies, minions and the Boss-Per-Level(which have definitely gotten more difficult in the evolution of LEGO titles since the first LEGO STAR WARS title, which seems bland, boring, and dull in comparison to the latest line of games)...AND of course once Free Play is unlocked, the joy of tracking down Power Bricks, Mini Kits, and finding your Stan Lee's, Character and Vehicle tokens, and the Gold Bricks of course.
Plus this game picks up from the previous 3 LEGO titles, Batman 2, LOTR, Lego City: Voice-Overs...and a really great voice cast I've heard so far. Ones I immediately recognized were James Arnold Taylor, John DiMaggio, Jeffrey Combs, Fred Tatasciore, and several others I love--Phil Lamaar, Tara Strong, Kari Wahlgren, Yuri Lowenthal--and even Agent Phil Coulson himself, Clark Gregg. And of course, Stan Lee.

Gameplay: 10/10--It may be only 1/2 done, but I'm loving every aspect of the gameplay
Music: 8/10--Not to knock it down, but I'm so used to hearing music by John Williams, or something familiar from a typical licensed LEGO Game, but it's still a really great soundtrack
Controls: 9/10--The GamePad once again proves its a really great, more-than-just-a-tablet controller. Taking several things from LEGO City Undercover with a touchscreen map, PLUS Off-TV play makes it wonderful. What's a NICE addition is Multi-Player, which uses rather the Wiimote+Nunchuk combo OR a Pro Controller.
Graphics: 10/10--High-Def LEGO Super Heroes fighting Super Villains in all sorts of awesome looking locales across NYC, and the rest of the world.
Overall: 10/10--Quickly becoming my new fave on Wii U, and with over 100 Marvel characters to play as, the huge HUB to explore, and great voice acting to boot. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone with Wii U, any LEGO fan, or those just wanting some good fun and good story.
