Here you can post your teams you use for battling and I'll check it out and see how well it works together and what adjustments you can make to make it better.
Be sure to include:
Type of Battle (Single, Double, Triple, Rotation) Held Items Moves Abilities
and just anything else you can think of that might help. Try to put as much information about it as you can because all of these things could make a major difference in the battle.
I'll try getting one of my teams up soon too and you all can see what you can help me out with my team as well.

Team: -Lucario --Aura Blast --Extreme Speed -Torterra --Earthquake --Leaf Storm --Rock Slide --Giga Drain -Rapidash --Flamethrower --Fire Spin --Stomp -Floatzel --Hydro Pump --Surf --Crunch --Dive -Starapter --Fly --Close Combat --Brave Bird -Luxray --Thunder --Crunch --Thunder Wave --Thunder Fang
Items: 10-Full Restores 1-Berry on Each Pokémon (depends on what I equip I don't have any specifics) 10-Max Potions 10-Of each status restorer 10-Full Heals
Strategies: -I always have equal, or higher lvl. pokémon than my opponent. (sometimes) -I always counter what my opponent does, and as I battle them I learn there strategy, and if half to use it againt them. (if I can) -Stay Positive, use best pokémon for job and I switch out my pokémon wisely.
(also I onky use this strat. on opponents I know will be easy enough to beat, or just opponents that are easy.)

Well I'm going to assume that all Pokemon are on lvl 100, just because that will be easiest and that's max level.
Also you won't be able to use all those items in a battle only what your Pokemon can hold and with the little counter they added to trade for in battle items.
I'd say that's mostly a stable team setup with types especially, but I would have more affect type moves instead of a full out offensive strategy (even though I do the same a lot of the times but am trying to get better with affects).
Also maybe work out a way some of the Pokemon can work together in battle whether it's a single/double/triple/rotation battle. There are ways to do it I can't think of any specific ones right away with those Pokemon because I don't know what all they can learn.
Also maybe get some movesets of a single Pokemon that work together. I'd give you an example but I use that one and I don't want to give it away.

well in trade battlebI guess I only use what I can wield, and I use all my pokémons moves I just only released all the moves for some, and I was never good at status affects, because the pokémon I aimed for were never status affecting-ish and the pokémon that were good with affecting I barely knew how to use, so yea!

Yeah, you just have to know all of this to be good at online battles. Yeah you just have to think of all the status moves possible and know which ones will work with you strategies.
There are some items that you can even have your Pokemon hold to help out with statuses too. It's tough to think of the best sets you can use because there are so many different combinations.

Shouldn't the Cup be mentioned as well or were you thinking more informal like with legendary and uber Pokémon?

I guess we could do that...I do know a little about that stuff, but anytime I've battle it wasn't anything to specific of them caring about it.
Personally to me Ubers don't bother me, because I do at times have them in there. But yeah, if you want we can add the Cups with it too.

Well the Tiers (or Cups) aren't any sort of official ranking, rather a fan-ranking to help make more balanced and fun teams. The downside of Uber and OverUsed Pokémon is that most serious battlers know how they work and can often easily counter them. Unless you use them in an unexpected way, like having Blissey as an Annoyer rather than Wall. (Don't know if that'd work just picked an example on random.) That is why most fan-tournaments don't allow them, it makes the battles more interesting when you don't have an in-depth knowledge of how your opponents Pokémon are used. And also makes battles slightly more fare. Official tournaments just disallow all Legendaries and Specials. (Pokémon with Ribbons on the Summary page, aka. event Pokémon.)

Ok well I'd say let them use the Ubers and stuff if they are more counterable because of how over used they are. It would be the own persons fault trying to be OP by building their team on it.
I only use certain legendaries occasionally just for personal preferences.

Ahh, but the point is they are strong enough that you'd need an Uber or at least a strong OU to beat it.
