I've had my 3DS for awhile now (Actually waiting to upgrade to XL), and i'm wondering what game to get next... I want an online game for sure, and want to see what people think...

I'd say New leaf, cause it's a lot more laid back for online--and if you're a fan, try MARIO TENNIS OPEN, which has good online as well

Mk7 is usually my go to for 3ds online gaming.
I find the 3ds version of smash to be too limited for the type of game that it is.
Lag, disconnections (mostly lag) much less reliable than the Wii U version. (if you have the Ethernet -> usb cable)

MK7 has good online, I've played quite a bit of that online and it's nice and simple to connect  |
