Just to be realistic I think this year is going to be huge for XBox One. They have already had some big release and with more on the way.
But I will say the game I'm calling to be game of the year is coming out on PS4 and PC!

Naturally I'm inclined to say Wii U or 3DS---Wii U will have a make-it or break-it year in 2015.
But I think even XBOX One and PS4 still have a lot to do to keep themselves where they are, a "bigger year" I can't say--cause ALL consoles need to have a good library to stay successful and keep selling.
Heck, overall I'll say 3DS might have a bigger year--we've got a 3DSXL with Amiibo support, more games using said support, and a bunch of other games on the way. Wii U DOES have Splatoon on the way, plus any number of titles we'll see between now and E3, and Nintendo never disappoints in my eye

Right now I think the biggest hype game of the year is No Man's Sky. I have to say I'm on that hype train too. I think it was the best game coming from last year's E3 even with only the little bit they had ready to show off. With it coming out this year I think it will probably be game of the year if they deliver on everything they have stated you will be able to do in gameplay. For this game alone I think it will be a huge year for PS. (Even though this game is also coming out on PC, but most games do and I doubt PC's ever have a 'bad' year.)

With Nintendo's announcement of the NX I think they are going to slow down with the Wii U and focus more on games for the 3DS-family.
While the Wii U was innovative and ground-breaking it wasn't that big of a hit. Mostly because many of the games Nintendo is know for took way to long to be released. Games like Mario Kart 8, Mario Party 10, Zelda U and others should have been released near the beginning of the consoles life-span. Since they where released so late or not at all as of yet many who got the Wii U early have traded it in at GameStop or similar places.
Another annoyance that caused some decline in the Wii U user-base was the Game-pad. While it's a neat idea, the fact that it's required is not. Also there where a few Game-pads shipped in Europe without working gyroscopes in them. While exchanging it was no big deal while you had warranty, some didn't notice that it wasn't working or it was working just enough to have people think that's how it was supposed to work. (My gyro doesn't work properly either.) This also lead to people abandoning there Wii U's though there weren't that many defective Game-pads.
Also a leading fact to the decline of the Wii U is the fact that you can't buy a replacement. They are set to be released this year, no quarter has been announced though.
That is why the Wii U is being phased out so soon. Nintendo would have waited at least two more years before starting work on another console if the Wii U was more successful.
So my bet is we are going to see a lot more work on games for the 3DS, especially games with support for the extra stick on the New 3DS and Circle Pad Pro.
