SUIT UP YOUR MIIS!
The next BIG update for MK8 is coming next week! Said update will unlock AMIIBO functionality, as well as give you the (eventual) option of using certain Amiibos to dress your Mii in a selection of different outfits based on several Nintendo series--Mario, Metroid, Kirby, and Star Fox. NO pics of what the new Outfits will look like, but we can only imagine. And you WILL need to download the update to get these additional bells and whistles.
This will most likely coincide with the first DLC pack for MK8, featuring the new racers, courses, and more--which is still slated for a release sometime this month. There IS a Nintendo Direct coming tomorrow, so the soon-to-be breaking news will reveal all we need, hopefully.
