UPDATE FOR ONLINE PLAYERS
There's another UPDATE for 3DS' Smash Bros--required--for playing ONLINE.
It's had another minor update — to version 1.03 — with those goals in mind, it seems. While it changes the Conquest feature so that it doesn't show the standings when the contest is running, it's also made suitably vague balancing changes to the gameplay; details below are from the official changelog.
--The Conquest chart will no longer be displayed when Conquest Mode is active.
--Adjustments have also been made to balance the game and make for a more pleasant gaming experience.

It WILL take 762 blocks for the update--AND will be mandatory, unless you wanna never play online again.
