THE FLEET SAGA
--TIMELINE-- 2040-2085
2040--Mel Tarren and the Colonists arrive in the Prime One system. The Zylonians, a non-native species in Prime One, make contact with Tarren's Party, led by Orr Leom. Orr Leom quickly betrays Tarren, and the First of the "Zylon Wars" erupts. 2041--The Zylonians continue their assault, as Mel Tarren recieves assistance from the Velorans of Velo Alpha and Beta. Orr Leom is supposedly killed. The Colonists begin to rebuild, and look to explore the system, with assistance from the Vegans of Vega Prime. 2042--The Colonists, with ships from the Vegans, have spread across to other worlds in Prime One. New Colonies have been built on Dien Alpha and Tal Prime. The Vegans are thrown into the Zylon Wars as the Zylonians begin to appear again. 2043--Zylon Wars continue, as Vega Prime is decimated by Zylonians. The Colonists and Velorans begin to contact nearby systems in hopes of learning of new cultures, and expanding their alliance. A new enemy begins to take shape. 2044--Mel Tarren dies at the age of 59. The Martonians of Exarx, of the distant Melara System, are the first interstellar contact for the Velorrans. The world of Fexlran-Tifki begins to become the mysterious source for a new enemy. 2045--The Zylon Wars end, after the last of the Zylonian colonies on Titans is destroyed. Dilite Alpha is explored, and the beginnings of another colony is underway. The Colonists and Velorrans begin the foundations for a new Allied Fleet--basing it on Velo Alpha. 2046--The Allied Fleet base is constructed on Velo Alpha, as the first Command Structure is set up, with the Velorrans in Command. Whispers of a new enemy begin to become more then rumor as new types of ships begin to appear around 3 Prime One worlds: Fexlran-Tifki, Xala and Titans. Dilite Alpha becomes the base of an Allied Fleet Mining operation. 2047--The first wave of a new enemy attacks colonies on Velo Alpha, destroying the Allied Fleet's Base, and killing thousands. The Allied Fleet move to attack, as the Velorran Armada begins to rebuild it's once great space fleet. The Martonians look to join the Allied Fleet, but their homeworld is under attack from a planetary neighbor, Asor. The Asorian Wars begin, between the Asorians and their old allies, the Soati of Soa. More mysterious sightings are seen on Velo Beta 2048--The Asorian Wars abruptly end as both the Soati and Asorians are nearly wiped-out by the mysterious and menacing threat known to the Asorians as "Rexis-Tox'D". Only a few Soati live, but are soon all but gone as their fellow inhabitants, and direct descendants, the Artise begin to rebuild Soa. The Allied Fleet look to further increase their defenses, to combat the new foe. Strange whispers again begin, claiming that Orr Leom may have survived the Zylon Wars. 2049--The Allied Fleet begin to expand their colonies on Tal Prime, leading to the beginnings of another Command expansion. The Martonians, not officially in the Allied Fleet, look to assist in any way they can, by introducing new technologies and a fleet of ships, in exchange for colonizing Prime One as well, which is quickly agreed to. Spreading rumors about Orr Leom's "supposed" resurrection are further validated as the mysterious force known now as "Detox", derived from the Asorian language, begin to make their presence felt. 2050--Knowing full scale war is imminent, the Allied Fleet march towards what will become the beginnings of the "Prime Wars". The combined Allied Fleet forces of Velorrans and Colonists (or Lunarrs), look to defend their worlds.... 2051--(See Prequel #1)(Which hasn't been finished yet)

SPECIES
Altorian: The inhabitants of the world of Altor, in the Altor-5 Binary system. For centuries they had endless war between seperate factions and classes on their world, until they were tought to forgive one another by one of their greatest philosophers, Tel Renak. Light-Brown skin, and usually black hair and brown or reddish eyes. Had a decade-old peace treaty with the Nolarians of Diaten, in order to maintain a strong defensive force against the Detox and other threats. Artise: The inhabitants of the world Soa, in the Rekis system. Once the lower class, acting in some capacity as slaves/servants. Green skinned, with identical hair and typically blue or green eyes. They are also the direct-descendants of the Soati, a species who were made extinct by a biological virus. The first species from the Rekis system, and the fourth and final species to join the Fleet. Claimed several planets after the Asorian Wars, in hopes of expanding their strengths, as well as exploration. Asorians: The former native species of the world Asor, in the Melara system. A reddish skinned, brown eyed species. Nearly all were killed at the end of the Asorian Wars, against the Soati of Soa, when Detox looked to attack the already weakened forces. Carasi: The surviving inhabitants of a Farnallian/Lunarr convoy that crashed on Caras, the first moon of Farnal. Share similar traits with Lunarr and Farnallians, speaking a Vegan-Farnallian dialect. Managed to survive, and adapt-to-evolve to live with the high levels of radiation. Durasi: The inhabitants of the world Duars, in the Rekis system A lizard-like, reptillian species, who speak with a clicking-language. Green, scaly skin, typically yellow eyes. Their civilization is class-based, and is in constant civil war between the leading, or "Roklais" classes, changing planetary leaders as often as 2-3 times a month. Hatch from eggs, laid by the select few female Durasi, who aren't killed by the much larger and violent males. Often used as warriors for other attacking armies. Farnallian: The inhabitants of the world Farnal, in the Altor-5 system. A brownish-green skin, with dark brown hair, and reddish-black eyes. Once a neutral people, allowing the Fleet Resistance to station their command on their planet, until the end of the Altorian/Nolarian peace treaty. Have been under the rule of Nolarians and Zornians in the past. Lithites: A primitive species, native to Dilite Beta, for over 10 millenia, until they were wiped out by the Detox. Share common ancestory with the Velorrans, who kept record of the Lithites. Lunarr(Human): Led by the heroic Mel Tarren, of the Lunarr colony from the Sol System(our solar system)--a group of 5000 colonists left their home system when they'd developed warp technology. Arriving in the Prime One system in 2041, the Lunarr Colonists were met by the Zylonians, who were a non-native species to the system. Martonians: The inhabitants of the world Exarx, in the Melara system. A brown skinned, brown haired, and brown eyed species, with cranial ridges. Rather trained as warriors, or trained in the sciences--both with honored places in society. The Martonians, like the Altorians, once went through near-catastrophic civil wars, but when the Detox invaded the Melara system, all banded together and united to defend their world. Direct rivals of the Zornians. Nolarians: The inhabitants of the world Diaten, in the Altor-5 Binary system. Yellow skinned, brown haired, green eyed. Former enemy and ally of the Altorians. Have had Farnal and Tavv under their claim on multiple occasions. Society typically based on classes or sects. Often short-tempered. Hate water, as they're ancestors evolved to live on dry land, after spending millenia as amphibious creatures. Soati: The former, native species of the world Soati, in the Rekis system. Ancestors of the Artise. During the Asorian Wars, against the Asorians of Asor, of the Melara System, they used biological weapons to nealy wipe out their enemies. Rival species of the Martonians. Another species nearly wiped out by the Detox attacks in the Rekis system. Tavvians: The native species to the world Tavv, in the Rekis system. A small, blue-skinned, mammalian species with white fur and black eyes. Speak a similar language to the Durasi, who share a common ancestory. Adapted to the cold temperatures of Tavv. Telorrans: The native species to the world Telorn, in the Prime One system. A yellow skinned, hairless, red-eyed species, with spiked skulls. Extinct since the Zylonian Wars. Traz:
An ancestor of the Farnallians who originally lived on Caras, Farnal's second moon. Originally allied with the Vegans, and some of Mel Tarren's Colonists. Left Caras during the Detox attacks. Vegans: The native species of the world Vega Prime, in the Prime One system. Green skinned, hairless, and blue or yellow-eyed. Another species wiped out in the Zylonian Wars. Were the first species to begin space exploration, and assisted the early Lunarr Colonists Velorrans: The native species of the worlds Velo Alpha and Velo Beta, in the Prime One system. Blue skinned, red haired, and yellow-green eyed. Well adapted to Velo Alpha's frozen climate. The first native Prime One species to contact the Lunarr Colonists. Also the founding species of the "Allied Fleet"--which later became just "Fleet" Xallians: The former inhabitants of Xala, who like the Lithites were primitive, and were wiped out by the Detox. Little is known about their history. Zornians: The native species of the world Mala-Zor, in the Melara system. Greyish skinned, black haired, and brown eyed. Mainly proud warriors and military class, but their scientific minds are amongst the finest in the galaxy. Once the rival species of the Martonians, Soati, and Altorians Zylonians: Origins unknown, but they were the first species to make contact with Mel Tarren, and the Lunarr Colonists. Similar look to the Lunarrs, but for the grey hair, and small cranial ridges. Betrayed the Lunarrs, and looked to take command of the Prime One system. The Zylon Wars, which lasted from 2041-to-2045 ended with the death of Orr Leom, the Zylonian leader, but soon after the few surviving Zylonians began to resurface.

Here's the FIRST part of PART 1:(Get ready for a lot of reading) ---------------------- THE FLEET SAGA: PART 1 BATTLE OF TELORN
Prologue It is the year 2092. The Star System known as Prime One is in constant battle. The two main powers in the system are at odds. The Fleet, composed of allies from across the stars have began to to take a strategic strong point in the system. Led by Lieutenant General Caplan D. Derricks, they try to keep their enemy in check, in hopes to keep the system, and it's peaceful inhabitants out of danger from their foes, the Detox. Who have managed to maintain a strong force over the decades, but it seems as if their forces have diminished. Although their lives have changed over the years, since the days of Mel Tarren and Orr Leom, the two rival forces maintain the lines of battle.... Location: Tal Prime, Strategic Command, Command Center Date: 2012:04:09, 1500 hrs Lieutenant General Derricks made his way to the Forward Command Center of the large Fleet Command Complex on the Fleet world, Tal Prime. Along the way he ran into one of his lifelong friends, and Second-in-Command, General Carl Calson, who was waiting on the bridge. Derricks looked at him, "What is it C.C.?" wondering whether or not the latest reports were in from the Fleet convoy, that was set for departure. "Special Ops have reported in. They await further command, and are ready to break formation in orbit above Dien Alpha..." Calson replied, as he looked to see Derricks was busy, being lost in his conflicting thoughts, as the two walked along the corridor towards a set of doors. Derricks knew he had a tough decision to make, there was War on ther horizon, and he knew it. So did everyone else in the Fleet. "Cap...?" Calson asked, waiting for a glimmer of hope to shine through in the impeding shadow of potential darkness. But he didn't envy his friend's eventual decision. Calson's oldest friend looked up at him, sighing loudly as he wasn't ready to make one of the toughest decisions of his Command career."...I know...What's the word from our outpost orbitting Dilite Beta?" Derricks asked, changing the subject. "The Detox have given up trying to cross the subspace minefield...I DO have confirmation from the Special Ops command ship orbiting Alpha..." Calson replied, continuing towards an answer from Derricks. "Break Orbit...send two Two-Man ships to the outpost on Velo Alpha. Send the command ship to Dien Alpha, then have it escort the Medical Ops ships to Telorn..." Derricks finally responded, hoping it would please Calson some. "Right away!" Calson replied, happy to get an answer, then saluted his friend, and C.O., walking away. Derricks sighed, knowing every small decision in times like this could lead to something both great and costly for the Fleet. He'd served most of his life defending Tal Prime, and the other Fleet planets, growing up while living with the expectations he'd put forward for himself to achieve. He knew his father would be proud of all he'd accomplished, but he also knew that if his father were still alive, and still the brave General HE had been, that coming to a decision so strong and so potentially hazardous, that the choice would have seemed impossible to make. Especially when it seemed like the walls were closing in around him, forcing him to make THAT kind of a choice. ---Telorn, Fleet Special Ops Outpost, Telorn Forest The planet of Telorn, once inhabited by the Telorrans, a simple, early space-travelling species, who had died out decades earlier, was key for the Fleet. If their claim could be defended, they would gain a sizeable advantage in the long-ongoing war between themselves and the Detox. Covered by forests and a large patch of barren desert, Telorn was also a major source of several minerals that were highly-prized by most. Which was the key reason that the Fleet, like most others, continued to seek a claim on the large world. "GET BACK TO THE FIELD LINE!!!" Sub-Commander Matka-Lean yelled as the 59 Detox troops began to close-in on the 15 remaining Special Ops Troops. The defense of the Fleet outpost on one of Prime One's largest planets, was something that everyone in Fleet knew would potentially be the turning point in the decades-old war. Fleet's Special Ops, a branch of specially-trained troops who were often called to action to provide strength and an offensive force in battle, were stationed on Telorn to protect the Fleet's claim on the now decimated Outpost. The 50 Strategic Command troops were down to only 10, but were busy trying to re-establish a communications link to any of the Fleet vessels in orbit. "Commander.....the Detox Gunners are fraggin' the HELL out of this place....!" Lieutenant Will Avers yelled as he continued blasting his M-Class blaster at the approaching enemies. Hopping under a fallen tree, Will ran over towards Matka, and saw his commanding officer just as frantic and less-optimistic as he was. Looking at his long-time commanding officer, and one of the few men he fully respected, Will thought back to his past missions, serving with Matka, and knew he'd made the right career choice, coming out of the Academy. "Noted Avers!....Bring in the Transports, and have them send in as many troops as they can spare!" Matka yelled back, as he fired and blasted another Detox. "Looks like we should've taken that mission to Titans after all, huh Avers?" joking, trying to lighten the situation. Will ducked down in a man-made ditch, where a few other troops and soldiers were well-occupied, "And miss all this? Besides, there are worse places to be...I...just can't think of one." Checking his Arm Guard/Computer, Will looked to contact a ground transport, that was 15 miles away, scouting the nearby mountain range. "Come ON!" he yelled angrily, and feeling the pressure of the current fire-fight, slammed his fist into his Arm Guard. Just then a Detox lept into the ditch, taking a few troops by surprise and slammed his fist into an unaware Ensign, knocking him out cold. Will spotted the Detox, grabbed his M-Class and quickly blasted the enemy. "B****...." He looked over at a few troopers, who were grateful for the quick thinking. His Arm Guard beeped, getting a faint signal to the Transport. "This is Avers...." he began to say over the comm signal, but kept having a hard time getting a clear response, due to some unknown circumstances. ---Fleet Cruiser 41, Mountain Range On a scouting mission to find one of the key minerals found on Telorn, Lainium, used as fuel for most classes of ships in the Fleet, the ground transport, a large converted Martonian Cruise Vehicle, or "CV", the team of 12 Fleet officers, mainly Strategic Command, but a pair of Science officers from Medical Ops, were scanning the local mountain range for deposits of the mineral. "Avers....this is 41. Repeat!" the Communications Officer replied, as he sat at his post inside the large cruiser, travelling along the lower slopes of the mountains. "Ensign..." the mission commander turned towards the front of the CV, "... head towards the riverbeds...." "Aye, Major. This terrain isn't as tough as I thought it would be." the ensign at the drive controls responded, as the large tank-like vehicle made it's slow journey across the rocky Telorran terrain. "Keep it steady...maintain half-speed...there have been a few rockslides in the last few days...some seismic activity..." the Major nodded, as he kept an constant eye on the nearby screen's sensor readings. "Sir!" the officer at the communications, or "comm", console began, getting the major's attention, "I'm getting a faint transmission...its Avers...." Nodding, then turning towards the small view screen at his side, the Major noticed the same, and hit his console."This is Major Reed. What is it Avers??" the Commander asked. A faint, barely audible voice came over the comm...it was Will. "We need more troops...." the comm faded again, losing it's signal. "Repeat! Avers....can you say that again? We're too far out of range....can we clear the signal?" Reed asked the comm officer, who was trying his hardest to do so, despite the mineral deposits they were scanning for, were adding to the interference. "Sir. I think so...but until we head back towards the forest edge we'll continue to have problems with all communication's systems." the comm officer explained, not easing Reed's annoyance. "Great. See if we can get some sort of...SOMETHING established..." Reed explained, getting upset at his current position, and now knowing what to do. A pair of officers began to assist the comm officer, until one of them heard a positive beeping coming from the console. "Sir...I think I've got something..." an ensign stated with a smile. "Can we get Avers back?" Reed asked, nearly about to cross his fingers for any kind of luck. The comm officer nodded, and soon a slightly-clearer signal came over the comm. "...repeat, this is Lieutenant Avers...to Cruiser 41..." Will came through. "Avers. This is Reed--we finally got a signal back. What is it?" Reed asked, glad to have something positive to happen. "We need reinforcements...our Array is out--we need to contact the ships in orbit...can you relay our message?" Will asked. The comm officer looked at Reed. "Sir, we can't get a message out, with us so close to the minerals...", knowing Reed's short-lived positive attitude would be taking a blow. Reed shook his head, "Avers. Looks like we're out of luck as much as you are. We'll keep trying...once we head back towards the forest. Reed out." ---Back at the Outpost "Will...Status??" Matka asked as he hopped back down in the ditch, looked at the dead Detox, and looked up at Will, who was irate. "Nothing. We need to find a new way of communicating with the Transports up in orbit. Any ideas?" Will asked Matka, who looked at a pair of troopers who were working on the mostly-intact Communications Array that had been hit by Detox fire a few hours ago. "Anything?" he asked one. "Sir, we have it working--but there must be something blocking the signal. I recieve some short-range transmits, but anything past 20 clicks isn't coming in. Or out." the trooper, fresh out of new ideas, told Matka. "Any ideas?" Matka turned and asked Will. "Are any of the other posts able to get anything out? There are a few...about 20 clicks from here..." Will tried to suggest, knowing they would probably be having similar difficulties, if not worse. "I doubt it--but in the meantime, we got more Detox within scan range....any ideas?" Matka asked as he walked over to a recent sensor sweep, displayed on a console screen. "Hmm...." Will led off, "looks like they're maintaining their position...which should buy us SOME time. IF memory serves me, the Detox are "recharging"....remember Xala?" he asked Matka back. "How could I forget? But remember, the Detox are still pretty mysterious. For all we know they could be burrowing underground, or whatever..." Matka lightly joked, referring to the fact that there were many contradictory reports and rumors about WHAT the Detox were exactly. "Yeah, but we DO know that they are ruthless...my brother had plenty of run-ins with them in his time in Ops..." Will reminded Matka, as he saw a trooper running over, carrying a Computer Padd. "Reporting Sir!" the trooper looked at the two men. "Status?" Matka asked, knowing full well that ANY updates wouldn't be good ones. "Detox troops are heading back to their Stationary posts, along the south ridge....Casualties are in: 84 dead, 9 wounded.....38 Detox dead..." the trooper reported, handing Matka a Computer Padd. "Thank you trooper. Will, you were right...there have been worse places. 84 dead...and now we wait for the Detox to make the next move, in this never-ending game of Velorran Chess." Matka stated. "Sir? Can't we just take an OFFENSIVE? I mean...look--they just stand there..." Will began, pointing up the the top of the cliff ridge, where they could easily see several dozen Detox soldiers standing, un-moving, almost looking like statues. "Look, Avers...I know. But we have our orders, and we ALL know that Detox can just..." Matka snapped his fingers, "...like that. We're getting a valuable bit of knowledge here. And we need to wait for reinforcements...if they ever show up." he muttered. Leaving Matka to think of the next possible move, hopefully not resulting in a checkmate, Will walked over to the Fleet Outpost, that was covered in blast marks from the countless days of the still on-going battle. Seeing a pair of troopers, Will walked towards them. "Report." he told one. "Lieutenant Avers...we have updated scans on the Detox line." one reported, then quickly remembered to salute his superior officer. "Anything worth while? Have we gotten anything from the Cruiser?" Will asked the trooper. "They've cleared up the signal--and they reported that they've found more Lainium...but we'll need to order a Mining team to get to it..." the trooper explained, as he pointed to the readout on a display. "Can you load the report for me?" Will asked, as he briefly skimmed the display. "Sir? But this is a Command operation...you're in Special Ops..." the trooper, a bit confused, vividly recalled the EXACT Command Structure of Fleet; Command-Special Ops-Medical. "I know, ENSIGN--The command structure, studied, read, memorized...but I DO outrank you..." Will, clarified, and stared down the ensign, not caring, at that moment. "But sir...you're Special Ops. Command dictates that...." the steadied trooper began to explain, but knew by Will's face that he wasn't exactly caring about it. "The LIEUTENANT gave you an order, and you will show Him respect, ENSIGN, or he will report you directly to Sub-Commander Lean..." a second trooper demanded, reaching for her Fleet-Issue Side Arm. The trooper, now somewhat frightened, quickly uploaded the lastest report onto a small data disc, and handed it to Will, before he did anymore to anger anyone else. Will nodded as he took the disc, and placed it in a small pouch on his belt, then looked at the other trooper, who lowered her weapon. "Thanks trooper....uh..." Will looked at the stern-looking female. The other trooper un-clipped her helmet, and let her hair fall down, then looked at Will. "Falkar, Sir....Bais-Falkar." she replied, as she saluted an officer she greatly respected. Amazed at the authority commanded by the female Martonian, Will just smiled. "Trooper Falkar, round up any personnel you can find, and report to me back at the bunker." he instructed, getting an appreciative nod from her, as she saluted again. ---Dien Alpha, Fleet Cadet Academy--1700 hrs Dien Alpha, part of a small sub-system of twin worlds, Alpha, and Dien Beta, was home to several dome-enclosed colonies of loyal citizens of the Fleet, as well as the location of the Fleet Academy, which had been in operation since the days of the Allied Fleet, over 40 years earlier. In a crowded, cadet-filled Mess Hall, a group of cadets from the same Barracks, sat in their matching cadet uniforms, each eating their dinner. "Hey Lokna..." a cadet whispered, as he looked at a Martonian cadet, who was picking at his plate infront of him, disgusted with the day's choice of cuisine. Lokna-Raht, the Martonian, turned his head, and looked at one of his fellow cadets sitting at the next Mess Hall table, "what is it?" he asked the other cadet. "You gonna finish your fish?" the cadet asked again, noticing Lokna's obvious distaste for the odd-looking food being served that meal. Lokna handed it to the cadet, "nah....can't stand Lunarr food...", he grimaced as he saw the other cadet graciously take it, and immediately took a satisfying bite. Another cadet, sitting next to Lokna, looked at him, with a look of disappointment. "Why'd you do that? Jensen's an a**..." he questioned Lokna's sudden generosity. Lokna looked back at the angry cadet, "Leo...I know you two hate each other--but he is a year older, and besides, I wasn't gonna eat that...I don't even know what it is..." Leonard Tahiri looked at Jensen. "It's called "fish"--" Tahiri led off, as he took a bite of the meal, "yep...tastes like salmon...with a pinch of Artisean pepper....not too bad. Better than the Velorran food we had for yesterday..." he chuckled, knowing Lokna was going to cringe at him eating the salmon. "Eww....and you call Martonian food gross. Atleast OUR food has flavor...no needing spices or...whatever...to make it edible." Lokna began, but paused when he heard an audible tone, as the crowd of cadets suddenly went quiet. All stopped eating, and looked to see a group of officers enter the Mess Hall. "Ranked Official in the Hall!" a Senior Cadet yelled as the Cadet Barracks Commander entered the hall. The Cadet's commanding officer, Major David Martin, entered and stopped in the middle of the Mess Hall, readying to address the cadets, all saluting back. "As you were cadets. I'm your friendly Major Martin....now as you know the Detox have begun an assault on Telorn. Now Command has sent me orders to advance two cadets to join the ranks at Command. I hold those cadet's names in my hand....Stand when I call you." the Major explained, as he began to read the latest Call-Ups off a padd. Lokna looked around at his fellow cadets, hoping he'd finally be able to join the Fleet in battle, and wanting to live up to his Martonian lineage. "He Lokna...good luck." Tahiri smiled at his friend, also hoping today would be the day he'd be able to move on in what hadn't been an easy life, thus far. "You too Leo..." Lokna smiled back. "Will a Cadet...Lok..Lokna-Raht report please." Martin read Lokna's name, first of two call-ups for advancement. Lokna gasped, happy he'd been called. He smiled and walked over to Martin, who nodded, as he was saluted by the cadet. "Thank you, Sir." The major smiled, and looked down to read off the next name. "And will a....I don't believe it...."Martin muttered to himself, "...Cadet Tahiri...please stand." "YES!!" Tahiri, happy as ever, exclaimed as the cadets applauded, some with less enthusiasm than others. He hadn't been this happy in years, knowing that he could finally do what he always wanted. Also knowing that being in Strategic Command, he was only a few years away from climbing out of the Junior Ranks. "Now. You two will need to report for a crash course in Basic Training, and then to the transport heading to Tal Prime by 0500 Hours tomorrow. Until then you're on break. Don't forget to finish any Skill Tests by then...as for the rest of you cadets, Better luck next time." Martin added, as he then left the hall. The hall, once again full of the chatter and clanking of dishes, resumed to it's low-level roar of noise, as Lokna and Tahiri, both too excited to eat, just chatted with a few other cadets. "Congrats Lokna..." Jensen patted Lokna's shoulder, as he was glad one of his friends had made the call-up, and would be lucky enough to move on in his career. "Leo made it too..." Lokna reminded Jensen, who rolled his eyes. "What? How come you too always seem to be at odds? We're all in this together....right?" "Psshh...." Jensen scoffed. "I'm happy for you...Leo I could care less about. But hey. You're right--as long as one of us gets out, this whole class won't be a whole wash, will it?" he chuckled, as he caught Tahiri's look out of the corner of his eye. A cold stare from Tahiri was suddenly interrupted as a cadet walked in-between the tables, Lokna looked over at his other friend. "Leo...calm down...you don't wanna spend the next few hours in your Bunk, do you?" Lokna reminded his friend. "Yeah yeah....d*mmit..." Tahiri shrugged off his anger. "I really don't like him...?" he admitted his distaste for Jensen, which was greater than Lokna's distaste for salmon. ---Telorn Outpost Sub-Commander Matka Lean walked over to a pair of officers who had arrived in the Cruiser Vehicle, and were making their way towards the outpost. "How did the mission go, Major Reed?" Matka asked Reed, who was saluting back. "Fairly uneventful, Sir. We did manage to get contact with one of the ships in orbit, they'll be sending down supplies and more troopers." Reed reported. Will walked over to Matka, after he'd heard the good news of Major Reed's report. "About time..." he sighed, as a few other troopers around him, all agreed with laughter. "Avers. I hate to leave you, but I need to report in to Derricks. I take it you're staying though?" Matka asked. "Yep--can't miss out on all this action." Will smirked, a natural fighter. He knew he had to stay on Telorn, even if it meant he may never make if off the planet. His family was one of the most decorated in the annals of Fleet History, and he had a large reputation to live up to. "Besides, as long as we have any sort of claim here, I'm not giving up on it." "I hate to leave you behind, but if you're gonna stay, I'm not gonna say anything otherwise...besides, you've saved my butt more than a few times. Good luck, Will." Matka smiled, still remembering several close calls. The two saluted, then shook hands, showing their mutual respect for one another. After a pair of supply and crew shuttles had landed, reinforcing the Fleet's Front Line more, Will, now acting in command of the Special Ops still at the outpost, walked over to Bais-Falkar, who was checking her armguard. "Falkar, report." he stated. "Lieutenant Avers, we're ready. Reciever is up and active, atmospheric conditions are within normal..." Bais reported, as she looked up and saluted the lieutenant. "Sir, I'm picking up some movement at the Detox line..." "What about the field?" Will asked, knowing the Detox's "silence" was about to erupt in a chaotic roar of battle. "Stable--for now. But if those Detox gunners get twitchy triggers, then we may all be packing in early. As much as I know the Fleet need this planet, there's a fine line between bravery and...with all due respect...idiocy." Bais admitted, meaning to offend the Fleet's cause, which she still went along with. Bais had served in Special Ops for years, but in the last couple of months, as the seemingly never-ending situation on Telorn had continued to drag-on, she grew more and more worried. Not so much about the Fleet's determination, but not sure if they could continue to defend as well as they'd like to. "LIEUTENANT AVERS!!" a trooper yelled in horror, pointing to the sky, as a large ball of fire and metal flew towards the surface. The large impact shook the ground, getting gasps and horrified looks from all who witnessed the disaster. "What is that...?" Will asked, as he checked his scanner. "Lieutenant. The convoy is reported Detox attack in orbit. That...that was one of out transports. The Medical transport....Oh...oh my god..." an officer, in shock, replied, as he was nearly sick with the thought of the fallen transport's crew were most-likely all dead. Will couldn't believe it. "Are we getting anything...?" he tried to ask, extremely shaken by the site. The officer shook his head, then looked to see Will was running over to a skidbike, and didn't even give a second thought, as he sped off, towards the location of the crash site. The wreckage, and horrifying site of a large piece of the fallen transport's hull was the first thing Will saw, as he slowed down, and looked up on the crash. He was completely speechless, as he took in the site, upclose. Hearing nothing but the sounds of a slowly-dying inferno of the burning metal, and other chunks of what had been a section of the transport, he came to his senses long enough to take a scan, trying to determine anything. Suddenly heard the sound of clanging metal, and looked over a few meters into the wreckage, to see a small hatch, on what looked to be one of the escape pods, which was still intact. A single man, mostly unscathed, slowly crawled out of the pod, weakened, and shaken from surviving the impact, looked over at Will, not saying anything, then collapsed to the ground. Rushing over, Will ran to the man, and could see he was still alive. "Hang on..." Will told him, as he took out a small medical kit, and used his scanner to get a reading. "Hell...how the..." he couldn't believe there was a survivor. The man gasped, finally coming to, and looked up at Will. "Who...who are you...?" he asked the trooper, who was kneeling beside him. "Lieutenant Will Avers...How the hell did you survive? Who shot you down??" Will asked the man, as he helped the survivor sit up. "Escape pod---just...just barely made it before the Detox attack...don't know how I didn't...I guess what they say about these things is true.."can survive a supernova..."." the man explained, trying to grasp the fact that he was probably the only survivor from the Medical Transport's crew of over 300 officers. All of a sudden both men heard a loud noise coming from a small patch of forest, a few meters away. Will readied his M-Class, ready for anything, as he stood up and looked into the thick trees. "What is it...?" the man asked, as he tried to stand up, and look towards the source of the noise. He knew what it probably was, but feared, as most did, of what it could be. "Shhh...."Will aimed his weapon into a spot in the forest, and slowly walked towards a line of trees. He checked his scanner as he made it a few meters into the perimeter, then suddenly heard a rushing set of bootsteps was closing in. A HARD thunk knocked Will to the dirt, as a lone Detox soldier appeared. Will turned over, kicked the Detox in the chest, and toppled him over. Then aimed and quickly fired his weapon, killing the attacking Detox. A second Detox quickly lunged towards Will, but was futile in trying as Will blasted it as well. Running back out towards the crash site, the lone survivor suddenly shouted "BEHIND YOU!!", as Will was tackled again, dropping to the dirt. Flipping over, he kicked a Detox, who'd grabbed his legs, and was trying to pull him apart. "GET the hell off!!" Will yelled as he quickly aimed his weapon at the soldier, but his shot ricocheted off the Detox's helmet, and by chance blasted the skidbike's power cell, causing a small explosion. The survivor ran over, with a piece of the wreckage, and used it like a club to bash the Detox, as a distraction, until Will re-aimed and blasted the soldier in the chest, killing it. "Thanks..." Will sighed, as he checked his weapon, then looked back towards the forest edge, and knew they wouldn't be safe for long. "It's a trap alright.....looks like we're in their territory..." he explained as he stood back up. "What? But I thought we had this area scouted?" the man asked. "Negative...we haven't made it this far--safely. We're still in Detox territory...which means Fleet sensors probably can't read us. And if we're fighting them up there, then we..." he led off, coming to a quick decision as he ran over to the skidbike, and grabbed a Mobile Field Generator. "What are you doing?" the man asked, looking at Will, who was activated the short range defensive force field. "Setting up Base Camp..." Will replied. "We don't know how many more are in the area...my scanner's having trouble. You wouldn't happen to have anything in that pod of yours, would you?" Will asked back. The man shook his head, "Why can't we head back to the Front Line?" "Not now...we don't know where they are. And my bike's..." Will led off, pointing to the obviousness of his now un-functional skidbike, which was in large pieces. "Well, since we're gonna be here a while--you got a name?" he asked. "I'm Will..." "Ed Lewson..." the man replied, "Glad to meet you--just wish it was under better circumstances..." "I've been in worse scrapes before..." Will chuckled, then cringed as he felt the pain from being tackled, and dragged across the ground. ------ What do you think?? MORE Will come soon

More of Part 1:
---------------------------
--Tal Prime, Command Center
Sitting in his office, sipping a cup of hours old coffee, Caplan Derricks was going over the still under-progress strategy he had to completely prepare, before contacting the Fleet Senior Generals, his advisors, and the other highly-decorated officers.
An officer walked in, handing him a padd. "Sir, we have reports from the Telorn front....", the ensign reported. "Very well, Ensign...send in the Sub-Admiral." Derricks nodded, taking the Padd, then read the report briefly, as the ensign left, and a few seconds later Sub-Admiral Balt'cor Delinki entered. "Reporting..." Delin'ki saluted, as he maintained his stoic look, and optioned not to sit down, like always. "Admiral, report Medical status." Derricks replied, as he looked up at the rather tall Velorran, slightly annoyed at the Velorran, who had always maintained a strict discipline. "We have some reports from Telorn, the Outposts are still under heavy fire....and I'm afraid to conclude earlier reports that a Medical Transport DID crash..." Delin'ki explained, "...reports aren't clear, but we can assume it was Detox who did so..." Derricks sighed, saddened by another lost ship, and its brave crew lost in this ongoing war. "Is there any signs of Detox energy in the wreckage?" His long-lying doubts were beginning to come back. "We don't know, Sir. The Command Transport in the same convoy was lucky enough to get out of the area...but the next question is, do we stay on Telorn, or do we save who we can..." Delin'ki began to question, knowing full well who's decision it was. Derricks stood up, and walked over to the large, panoramic window in his office, and looked out to see the large city of Roxtal, which had been built over 40 years earlier, at the beginning of the war against the Detox--and knew what he had to do. He turned back around to Delin'ki. "Send another convoy--we're defending OUR planet..." he ordered.
---Fleet Medical Complex--2000 hrs
Chief of Fleet Medical Ops Larian-Taknar made her way to the 5th Floor Emergency Ward, where a few Command Troops were, and looked to see that she had made the right career choice, despite a few personal issues. "Status..."she led off, taking out her Medical Scanner she always had handy, and began to scan a patient. "Larian, this guy has severe burns to both arms. An explosion in an energy cell..." a 2nd-Year Nurse reported. "Dermal Regenerator---and some level 3 painkiller...you doing okay...?" Larian, easily one of the most well-known and most-loved Medical officers, smiled at the obviously in-pain officer. "Thanks....chief..." the officer tried to smile, as the nurse began to repair his arms, and another gave him an injection, as he felt greatly improved. "Did you hear...?" the first nurse asked Larian, who was still working with the patient "What?" Larian asked back. "We're heading to Telorn tomorrow..." the nurse replied. "...any news on the Transport?? The one orbitting Telorn??" Larian asked, with a noticable look of worry on her face. The nurse just shook his head, causing Larian's heart to drop as she ran over to a Medical Console, and accessed a Data Link to the Fleet News Corps. "Was he...?" the nurse asked Larian. Before she could begin to read the reports from Telorn, an officer entered the Ward, and walked over to Larian. "Chief..." she handed Larian a Padd. "Casualties..." Larian read the report, the number of casualties from Telorn, including those lost, or known lost, on the Medical Transport that had crashed, was overwhelming. Then she saw a name she knew, and nearly burst into tears. "Chief?" the nurse, seeing Larian teary-eyed, asked, but knew by her look that Larian wasn't in the mood to talk. Larian set the Padd down, wiped her eyes, and walked over to the Lift. Her thoughts overwhelmed her, knowing that she wasn't the only one to lose a loved one in the long-lasting war between the two powerful forces in the Prime One system--but she knew that even though there was the tiniest glimmer of hope, that it would be worth it....hopefully.
Location: Tal Prime, Command Center Date: 2092:04:10--0600 hrs
As a transport from Dien Alpha arrived on a landing platform, outside of the larget Command Center, a few officers and staff made their ways to their destinations. Including Tahiri and Lokna, who were both eager to get their careers started.
Walking into the Register office, the two new cadets saw they weren't the only new call-ups waiting to be assigned to a transport, station, or some other post. "Will the Cadets from Dien Alpha please report to Lieutenant General Derricks immediately." over the Intercom, getting Tahiri and Lokna's attention.
Lokna and Tahiri walked into Derricks office."Sir, Cadets Raht and Tahiri reporting!" Lokna saluted, followed by Tahiri, who was honored to be in the same room as one of His personal heroes. Derricks stood, and looked at the two promising young cadets. "Please be seated Cadets, as you know the current situation on Telorn..." he began, "...There is news that the Medical Transport WAS infact gunned down by Detox weaponry, which means that we need to send more Transports to Telorn. Despite the obvious threat, we need to resupply and restock our outposts, if we have any hope to reclaim the Planet..." he paused. Lokna looked at Derricks. "Sir?" Thinking about a million things, letting his mind wander a bit. "Cadet Raht, I understand you had a few friends in Medical Ops, have you heard anything...?" Derricks asked the eager, but sad looking, cadet, who he knew was feeling the bitter sting that most felt. "Sir, yes....a few were on the ship..." Lokna sighed, trying not to think of things too negative. Tahiri looked at Lokna, "it's okay man...we'll get those Detox...", he shared a hatred towards the Fleet's enemy, even more than most others. "Now...Cadets, you will undergo a few more training exercises, then report to the Launch Bay by 08:00." Derricks calmly stated, handing Tahiri a padd. "Good luck, gentlemen." "Sir." Tahiri saluted, followed by Lokna, as they quickly left.
"You okay...?" Tahiri asked Lokna, as he headed out to the corridor, and walked to a lift. Lokna didn't say anything. As he stared at the floor. The lift opened, and they entered. "You gonna say anything??" Tahiri, still getting the silent treatment, asked. "Look, I know you had friends on that ship...I'm sure a lot of people did...but remember Lokna...I went through..." he stopped as the lift shook, as the power began to flicker. "Did you feel that?" Lokna asked, as he jumped from the shaking of the lift. "What happened?" Tahiri shook his head, then jumped as not only the lift, but the entire Complex shook, from what sounded like a large weapon's impact. "I think we were just hit...", when suddenly the Air-Raid Siren began to blare, as Tal Prime was suddenly under attack!
Tahiri stepped over to the lift control panel, and pried open the door release switch board. "d*mmit..." he muttered as he pulled the casing off one set of circuitry, and tried to make a way out. "What are you doing...?" Lokna asked. "Getting us outta here..." Tahiri replied, as he pulled out a pocket knife, and used it to cut a wire. "Why? You wanna stay and get blasted to bits when we're hit again..." "That's contraband...you're gonna get demoted..." Lokna, seeing Tahiri's old pocket knife, claimed, not even realizing Tahiri's efforts to get them free. "Shh...shut up, hold this wire..." Tahiri told his friend. "It'll shock me...won't it?" Lokna asked, worried of potential electrocution. "It won't...it's just the release wire." Tahiri explained. "You want out, don't you?" As he could feel the building tension of what it meant if the planet truly was under enemy attack. Lokna nodded, took the wire, and cringed as Tahiri cut it. Nothing happened immediately, "Uh...." Tahiri began, as he looked back at the set of wires, and tried to figure out which wire to try to cut this time, "...maybe it's the yellow...no, thats..." "Did it work...?" Lokna asked, as he opened his eyes. "You didn't do it! It's still shut!" "Yeah, yeah....so I noticed...wait...listen." Tahiri stopped for a minute, as he noticed a low humming noise, coming from the lift. "What is that...?" Lokna asked, as he heard the same noise, wondering what it was as well. Tahiri soon realized it was the lift door's power--meaning not all was lost. "It's the door's back-up power...can you pry the door open. Uh..use the manual lever..." he pointed to a manual release lever on the side of the lift doors. Nodding, Lokna pulled the lever, and after a few minutes, he managed to pull the door ajar enough so they could get out, getting a pat on the back from Tahiri, who looked out of the lift to see where they were. "Where are we...?" Lokna asked. "The Launch Bay...well, atleast we're early..." Tahiri smiled, as they had to climb out of the lift, and walked out towards a large crowd of frantic and busy officers and crew.
Walking over to a Lieutenant, who was busy handling the sudden departure assignments, looked at them. "Who are you...Cadets?" "Cadet Tahiri. This is Cadet Raht...may I ask what's happening, Sir?" Tahiri asked. "You serious kid? We're under attack....and I'm stuck coordinating the transports..." the lieutenant muttered, as he was handed a padd by a Special Ops trooper."..now, there's a Detox Cruiser in orbit, planetary defenses are on high, and we've gotta bail out the poor souls trapped on Telorn...and the planet's Main power is in danger of going down..." Lokna looked at the hurried frenzy of a few hundred busy officers, troopers, and other personnel rushing to and from transports. "Now...are you two Command, Special, or Medical..." the busied lieutenant began to ask, not noticing the Cadet's obvious Command Cadet uniforms "Command..."Lokna replied briefly, but saw another officer run over to them, and hand a padd to Hart. "Lieutenant Hart, Sir...the transport is ready..." an officer ran over to the lieutenant, and saluted. "We..." Hart eyeballed the officer, "Ensign, you might want to correct yourself..." he pointed towards a stack of crates full of essential supplies, "...get those crates on board--otherwise you'll have to make a u-turn...we need to hurry up!" Hart nearly screamed, as the stress of managing the hasty departures, was getting to be too much. "Sir..." Tahiri began, trying to get Hart's attention again. Looking up at the cadets, who were still waiting for a specific response, he sighed. "What is it...? Huh? Oh...you two...head towards THAT Transport...it's on it's way to Telorn..." Hart pointed at a busy-looking ship. "Aye." Lokna saluted, as the two cadets followed instructions, and headed to their designated assignment.
---orbit of Tal Prime
The Detox Cruiser, emmense in size and power, in orbit above Tal Prime's central point, the planets Power Core. It was one of the first attacks on the Fleet's Capitol Planet in over a decade, proving that the Detox were still every bit as dangerous as they had always been. On the command deck of the enemy ship, the crew, Detox soldiers, all in nearly-identical armor and helmets went about, positioning the Cruiser's weaponry, readying for another blast. "Sir!" an officer onboard an approaching Fleet Command Ship, exclaimed from her post, as the Ship approached the Detox Cruiser. All crew watched as the Detox stopped firing at the planet's surface, showing the enemy's intelligence and strategic skill, which had allowed them to not only stay as the main threat in Prime One, but in several others for half a decade. "REPORT!" the Command Ship's Velorran Admiral commanded, as he stood at attention as they neared the attacking enemy ship, which was hovering, in orbit, above the planet. "Detox weapons active....sh*t! They've fired again...we're on approach!" the officer reported, as the Cruiser blasted Tal Prime's surface again. "Fire when you have a lock!" the Admiral exclaimed as he readied for an offensive stand against the Detox. The Command Ship locked on, and blasted the much larger Cruiser, taking it's attention away from the Planet. Yet it didn't retalliate.
"Sir! They...seem to just be sitting there..." an officer noticed. "What the hell...take the chance we have, lieutenant, fire again!" the Admiral ordered. Another blast hit the Cruiser, making a large hole in the ship's outer hull, and mere seconds later the enemy ship exploded, taking a smaller Detox ship with it as well. The Command ship flew back towards the planet, but was quickly spotted by another attacking Detox ship, and was blasted by the enemy weapons. Not having a chance to retalliate, the Command ship exploded, killing 240 crew members in an instant. The Detox looked to do more damage, as the Fleet's numbers around Tal Prime weren't as solid as they would have normally been for an enemy attack.
More Fleet vessels began to break orbit, but found a number of Detox vessels nearing them. The few Fleet ships still in orbit were trying to keep the enemy ships occupied, while the convoy of Fleet transports, 3 Command and 1 Medical, tried to break past, and head to their destination of Telorn. A Detox Battle Cruiser blasted one of the convoy's Command ships, and quickly took it's engines out. But a second Command ship replied, by blasting the attacking Cruiser, and sent it into a off-center spin, into a second Detox vessel. Both exploded, but the large space battle was far from won for either side, as fire was constantly exchanged from both sides. The Fleet trying to get the necessary supplies and crew past the Detox blockade, to lend all the necessary relief to Telorn, but the Detox were maintaining their threatening presence, and blasting any Fleet ship that crossed their path. The remaining convoy ships managed to scrape past the Detox, and found a clear gap to break to Warp Speed. But all was not over, as the ongoing war was about to reach across the stars, and send the Prime One system into it's next
---Aboard the Medical Transport, #84--0800 hrs
It was clear the moment they'd stepped on board, that Lokna and Tahiri were on a Medical Transport, as the interior design of the ship was radically different than what they'd trained on, as they saw several Medical Techs and nurses assisting a few injured officers, after a Detox blast had hit the transport.
"Leo...we're on the WRONG ship!" Lokna exclaimed, as he ran through a packed corridor of Medical Troops, officers, and nurses, and towards Tahiri. Tahiri, seeing his friend approach, was busy helping a bleeding patient, who'd been injured in a stray blast from a Detox ship as they'd made their way past the Detox ships. A Nurse ran over to Tahiri. "Cadet...what's wrong with him?", she asked as she looked at Tahiri who was noticeably comfortable on a Medical ship. "Minor bleeding...laceration on his leg..."Tahiri noted, giving a spot-on diagnosis. "Looks like he ruptured something..."the nurse nodded, grabbing his medical kit, and using a gauze pad to put pressure on the wound. "Hold this..." he told Tahiri, who did so, then watched as the nurse used a Skin Thermal--a compound used to patch flesh wounds--to heal the wound. "This should work...painkillers...and....you feeling okay ensign?" the nurse asked the officer. "Good work Cadet..." she smiled at Tahiri, amazed by the cadet's "jump-right-in" attitude. "Y..yeah...thanks..." the officer smiled. "Thanks Cadet Tahiri..." "No problem..." Tahiri smiled, using a solution to sanitize his hands, then walked over to Lokna, who was leaning against a wall. "You're not Medical--but you seem so "at home" here..." Lokna noticed Tahiri's comfort level, which was noticeably higher than his own, as he always felt uncomfortable in hospitals. "Yeah....I spent a lot of time in hospitals...remember?" Tahiri asked, reminding Lokna a bit about his past. "Cadets please report to the Chief's Office!" a voice over the Intercom stated.
The Cadets, all 8 fresh, new Cadets, reported to Chief Larian-Taknar's office. "Good day cadets, I'm Chief Taknar. All of you have been lucky to make it this far..." Larian chucked, "...and what a perfect time to get your field training. Our mission, as you know, is to Telorn to provide much needed support to our fellow Fleet. The last Medical Transport was...destroyed..." she paused, then looked up to the 8 Cadets, recognizing one of them, and walked over to her desk. "Tell her..." Lokna whispered to Tahiri, nudging him to speak up, and admit that they were on the wrong ship. "Tell me what....Cadet...?" Larian asked Lokna, looking at another Martonian, then noticed the wrong color of uniform on the two cadets, but brushed it off casually. "That we're thrilled to be here, Ma'am..." Tahiri smiled, not caring where he was, but just happy to be anywhere but the Academy. Especially with no Jensen dragging on him. "Glad to hear it..." Larian nodded, as she took a padd from a Medical tech who walked in, and skimmed a report. "Tell helm to make the necessary course corrections. Cadets, dismissed...find your posts, and get ready--drills will start in one hour." she told the cadets.
---Telorn Mobile Outpost, Telorn Forest
Trooper Bais-Falkar ran quickly back to the outpost. "What happened?" she asked another trooper, curious as to what the latest was on Will Avers, who had basically disappeared of all radar. "Ma'am, we've not getting any readings...if the lieutenant tracked down anything from the transport crash..." another trooper began. "Where did we last have a signal from Avers?" Bais asked. "Just past the last post marker--which is at the edge of where we've scanned...if he went past it, then we don't know where he went." the trooper explained, not helping calm Bais' concerns.
---Near the Crash Site
The remains of a piece of the fallen Medical transport was still lightly smoldering in the late morning sun, was glimmering off the few bits of hull that hadn't been scorched.
"Avers...Wake up." Ed shook Will awake, as he'd heard noises coming from the forest, a few meters away. Will jumped up, ever alert, and grabbed his M-Class, then looked at Ed, who was pointing towards the forest. "What is it?" "I think I heard something....a few minutes ago..." Ed began, a bit nervous. Will just nodded, then motioned for Ed to stay by the site, as he walked towards the trees, and scoped out the area, nearly firing as a small bird flew across his sites. He walked over to the mobile generator, flicked it off, and walked back over to Ed. "What are you doing...?" Ed asked, as he stood up, and noticed his leg was sore. Limping over to Will, he looked at the on-edge trooper. "Can't just stick around here...my scanner's showing a Station Post a few clicks from here..." Will replied. "You okay...?" "I must've tweaked it...you gonna try to get a signal?" Ed asked. Will nodded. "Yeah, but I know a Fleet unit posted a location near here...we did checks every few hours." He looked back towards the edge of the forest, where he knew the Fleet line was. "The Fleet line's only a few kilometers west..." Ed nodded, then noticed Will was deactivating the field generator. "What about protocol?" he asked. "Can't stick around here forever...the skidbike's comm should still be working, should be able to get some sort of message out..." Will walked over to the skidbike, and propped up the front end, where the comm display was. Trying to activate it, he found a weak signal was coming through. "Looks like it's working..." he told Ed, then handed him a spare sidearm. Ed took it, and nodded. "I take it you're leaving?" he asked Will, who just nodded and readied his M-Class. "See if you can make contact--I'm heading off..." Will explained, as he knew he was breaking protocol, then left the crash site.
Running across the open terrain, mainly just loose gravel and sparse vegetation, Will recalled bits of his past. Training on the Ice terrains of Velo Alpha, was similar, other than the difference in climate. He made his way to what was another large chunk of debris and wreckage from the fallen Transport. No survivors easily spotted as he approached the still awe-inspiring carnage of seeing what looked like a few bodies, scattered, and looking like they'd been picked at by who knows what. He opened his arm guard, and scanned the area. No signal from the Fleet Post, but he was detecting a few lifesigns, but nothing besides local wildlife. He knew he had missed the Fleet perimeter, and was somewhere in Detox territory.
Running towards the forest edge, he approached a large boulder, and quickly ducked as he heard, and barely escaped a blast coming from a few meters away. Checking his computer he couldn't get a clear reading, but knew he wasn't alone. He pulled out his M-Class, and aimed back towards the source of the attack, and fired a pair of warning shots. Another shot blasted the boulder, getting Will to duck again, as he tried to get a fix on his surroundings. His computer's scanner was flickering, as the signal began to fade. "Oh, come on....d*mmit" he muttered as he hit it with his fist. "Must be a signal scatter...too far out of range, or something..."
He stood up, and was surprised to see someone approach him, wearing a tattered-looking Fleet uniform. It was a Medical trooper, wearing only half of the standard Trooper padding and no helmet. "Who...who are you?" the trooper, tired looking, and walking with a limp, asked, as he approached Will. "You okay?" Will asked back, surprised to sees someone from Fleet out here. "Fine...just glad to see a friendly face. I'm Cadet Luis Ordonez-Ruiz..." the trooper replied, without caring to salute. "Will Avers, Lieutenant....you okay Cadet? You look like hell....how did you survive?" Will asked. "Escape pod--something my sister taught me, works great as a bomb shelter..."Luis laughed lightly, finding some humor in his survival. He looked to see his arm had a cut, which wasn't even noticeable as he knew the injury was the least of his problems. "How long have you been here?" Will asked, as he tried to scan the area, but it had shorted out. "About a day, I guess....don't really know what day it is...or where I am exactly. Well...besides Telorn that is..." Luis replied, sitting on a small rock. "You're not the only survivor....I found another, he's back at the base camp I set up...near more wreckage." Will explained, trying to ease the young man's tension. "Helluva way to start my first mission...huh, Sir...?" Luis asked, remembering a salute this time. "It'll get better, well....could it really get worse...?" Will asked back, then looked at the young cadet. "You okay?" "Just....scared a little...I know this area hasn't been cleared, and it's right in the middle of Detox territory..." Luis replied, shaking nervously a little. "Easy Cadet...you're okay. Do you have any supplies?" Will asked. Luis shook his head. "All thats left is this blaster, and some ration packs." "Okay, okay....we'll just have to make do with what we have..." Will explained, "...you got any Tech training?" Luis nodded, "Yeah, 1st year of the academy..." "Good, see if you can fix this..." Will smiled, handing Luis his arm guard. Luis tinkered for a minute or two, but without some sort of tool, he could only do so much. "Sorry Sir, but I think the Detox have set up a comm barrier of some sorts, no outgoing transmits this far into their territory." Luis sighed, "The only way to clear the blockage was with something as strong as the Transport's comm systems...Sir?" Luis asked, as he noticed Will was walking towards a large row of trees. He saw someone, or something. A pair of Detox soldiers, picking at what seemed to be a Fleet console, thrown from the crash. Bending down, he slowly crept towards the soldier's position. He took out a Neumo-Grenade, a small-yield explosive, and chucked it at the two Detox, then quickly jumped over a rock, for cover, as the explosion rocked the area and saw assorted shrapnel fly overhead. Luis ran over, "what...was that?", trying to figure out the source of the explosion. "Grenade..."Will briefly replied, as he stood up and looked at what was left. A small crater in the dirt. "Detox?" Luis asked, as he looked over to where the Detox had been, "...looks like a medical console..." Luis noticed, as he approached the mostly-intact console, and inspected it. "Can we do something with it?" Will asked. "I think...." Luis led off, as he pried off a panel, and managed to find something he could use. "Here...this could work." "A communications port? How can we use it...without the rest of the console? Which looks kinda outta commission to me..." Will wondered, seeing the grenade he'd used against the Detox had done a bit more, unfortunate, damage. "Lemme see the armguard." Luis said to Will, who handed it to him. Luis opened the arm guard's side panel, and plugged the communications port into it, forcing it to fit. "Not exactly what specifications say to do, but it'll work in a pinch." he shrugged, then handed it to Will. "Here." Will looked at his arm guard, and tried turning it back on. A small flicker, and soon a faded screen came back on. Not wasting time, he accessed a rudimentary comm channel and typed in an emergency message, on a Fleet Emergency wave. A barely audible beeping began to emit from the arm guard, "I think you did it, Cadet...", Will nodded. Luis sighed, now more confident that the day was going to get better.

who's ready for more? -------------------------- ---Mobile Outpost, Telorn Forest--1000 hrs Bais-Falkar was at the communications console when she saw a small beacon light flashing on the display. It was an incoming message. "This is Falkar....Avers is that you??" she asked on an open comm channel. Background static was all she heard coming through, until she tuned a wider bandwidth. "This.....Avers...found a survivor....the edge of...send troops....range for other....survivors." a barely audible-through-static Will Avers was heard through the comm. "Avers. How many survivors?" Bais asked. Nothing but static, as she waited for anything to come over the comm. "Ma'am?" a trooper asked, rushing over to Bais. "Take a crew, two skid bikes, and track down Lieutenant Avers." Bais ordered. "Did his last position come through?" the trooper asked. Bais shook her head, "The signal is being relayed through a comm console...it looks like it's somewhere in the eastern edge of the forest....which is...in Detox territory..." she explained. "What? How could the lieutenant be there..?" the trooper asked. Bais wasn't sure, but she knew that if Will WAS in Detox territory that he was in trouble. "Take a pair of skidbikes, head to the outer post, and try to track down his location. Maybe head for the crash site we got that faint signal from a while back..." ---Medical Transport 84, Passing Dien Sub-System--1300 hrs "Cadet, state your Name..." a stern looking Larian Taknar demanded as she was in her office with Lokna and Tahiri. Lokna looked at her, "Cadet Lokna-Raht..." he saluted. Larian stopped walking, pausing, then looked at Tahiri. "Cadet, your name?" "Cadet Leonard Tahiri." Tahiri responded. "What are you two doing aboard a Medical Transport, when you two are Command Cadets...?" Larian asked. "I'm looking past it, but I want you two to do what you're told..." "We were instructed to, ma'am..." Tahiri replied. "By whom...?" Larian asked. "Lieutenant Hart...he was coordinating the Transports..." Tahiri replied. "Hart....well, must've been some confusion. Well, if you're gonna be on my ship I have a few rules. No back talk, no disregard for authority, and no unworthy conduct..." she explained. Lokna and Tahiri left her office, and headed towards the lift. "Whoops..." a Medical officer said as she bumped into Tahiri. "Sorry....I'm..." Tahiri looked up to see the frantic looking Ensign. "Hey, I'm Ensign Ordonez-Ruiz....Jacklyn..." the Ensign, who was carrying a pair of medical kits, brushed dark hair from her eyes, and looked at the two cadets. "Hi, I'm Cadet Lokna-Raht...and I..." Lokna introduced himself, but was interrupted by Tahiri, who bumped him to the side. "Leo...Leonard Tahiri....we're in Command." Tahiri took center stage. "Command? You shouldn't be here....but that's cool. Hey, you two would technically be in COMMAND then..." Jacklyn chuckled. "The chief should have thrown you two out of the airlock...you wanna see the Emergency Bay...?" Lokna looked at the two, and shook his head. "What's up with him...?" Jacklyn asked Tahiri, as Lokna, obviously uneasy, looked at a Display Console. "Just shy....always has been around new people..." Tahiri chuckled. As Jacklyn and Tahiri walked down the hallway, towards the Emergency Bay, they saw one of Jacklyn's friends. "Hey Jacky...who's he?" the Medical Tech asked. "I'm Cadet Tahiri, Leo Tahiri..." Tahiri replied, shaking the tech's free hand, as he did a console diagnostic. "What's a Command cadet doing here?" the Tech wondered. "Relax Delin, he's on the wrong transport...but the Chief must like him, otherwise he'd be out the airlock..." Jacklyn laughed, "Show him..." Delin Radcliffe, Medical Tech Operator, walked over to the body stasis chamber and opened up a storage drawer, with the corpse of a Detox corpse. Jacklyn pushed Tahiri towards it, but Tahiri didn't want to budge. "What...what is it?" he asked her, but was just forced forward. "Right...you see Leo, Fleet Medical has been conducting experiments on a few captive Detox we've had since the year 2089. It's sorta a myth, but we believe that your basic Detox is nothing but a mindless drone. A body, NO brain....it gets it's orders from a super computer on one of the Detox worlds..." Delin explained. Tahiri cautiously approached the lifeless drone, and lightly touched it's arm, not knowing what to expect, but having flashbacks of his past, all rushing into his mind. Delin smirked as he tapped a console next to him, causing the once lifeless Detox to suddenly sit up, once again full of life. The dark memories of Tahiri's past came storming back, as he felt the weight of a thousand suns on his chest, the collapsed to the deck. "Leo!??" Jacklyn asked in shock as she rushed to Tahiri, who was lying on the floor, in complete shock. "What the hell?" Delin asked. "Quick! He's seizing!!" Jacklyn screamed as Tahiri began to convulse and shake. Getting him up on a Medical Bed, Delin scanned Tahiri, who's heart was racing. "BP's erratic...what happened....?" Jacklyn asked, wondering what had caused Tahiri's reaction, and sudden medical emergency. "Leo...? Can you understand me...?" Delin asked. Tahiri's pupils were fully dialated, as Delin injected an anti-seizure medication, slowly allowing him to calm down. "I'm gonna help you relax, just till your systems get back to normal....okay?" he asked Tahiri again, who nodded, and then drifted off to a shallow sleep. A few minutes later Larian entered the Emergency Bay, followed by Lokna. "Report Delin..." Larian stated, as she saw Tahiri was on a biobed, and being scanned my Delin, who was still curious about the sudden and horrifying reaction of Tahiri. "Cadet Tahiri nearly had a heart attack when we showed him the Detox..." Delin replied. Lokna looked at his friend..."He had a flashback..." "What?" Larian asked. "Has he encountered Detox before?" Delin asked Lokna, looking up from Tahiri's vitals. "When he was a kid...growing up on Dien Alpha. His family lived there before..." Lokna began to explain. "Before what...?" Delin asked. "The Detox...they wiped out the small Colony on the eastern hemisphere of Alpha..." Jacklyn remembered, once again reliving her own, similar past. "You were there...?" Lokna asked. "I remember now....Leo lived not too far from my colony, my family. It was a few weeks until the Day of Tarren. The Colonies were planning our usual big celebration, like we always did. But it never happened..." Jacklyn explained. "What happened...?" Lokna asked again. "The Detox Battle Cruisers, 10 of em. Wiped out the colony, killing nearly everyone..." Larian interrupted, remembering the details well, as she'd served on a Fleet ship back in her early career. Suddenly her own memories came back, thinking of all those she knew on Dien Alpha, that had been killed that fateful day. "My family made it, Leo's didn't..." Jacklyn finished, brushing a tear from her eye as she felt nothing but sympathy for Tahiri. Delin accessed Tahiri's Medical record. "He's been in hospitals most of his life. From his 8th birthday to a couple years ago." Lokna added. "He's gone in for two arm surgeries, nearly reconstructed left arm...a heart condition...and a shattered vertebrae. Amazingly, he's still alive..." Delin read off Tahiri's record. "Like I said...only a few survivors." Jacklyn reminded them, shaking her head, and looking down at the semi-conscious Tahiri. "Get him secured and stable...."Larian ordered, "...oh, and Delin. Be nice to him..." she smiled, as she left the Bay, followed by Lokna. As Larian and Lokna exited the lift, they were rushed over to by a pair of Bridge officers, one handed Larian a padd. "Chief...the convoy has contacted us, we're needing to re-route the Transport to avoid a subspace disturbance..." one explained, saluting Larian. "Acknowledged, contact the convoy, and we'll give them an update as soon as we can." Larian explained. As they entered the Stellar Cartography lab, Larian looked at Lokna."I've read your files Cadet Raht, you have two outstanding credits on Stellar Charts, and Astronomical Navigation...can you plot us a safe course?" Larian asked. Lokna walked over to a large Display Screen, with the star chart of the surrounding interstellar space. "...Hmmm...the nearest Fleet planet is Dien Beta. Alpha is next...so, I'd suggest plotting a course for Beta." Lokna decided. "But our course is to Telorn, travelling to Beta would take us off course too far...and we need to check in with the convoy before any course correction." Larian reminded him. "...true, but we need to avoid this nearing subspace field, or we'll lose engine stability, and shields..." Lokna corrected. "Beta is too far....need I remind you WHO is in command, Cadet Raht??" Larian asked, with authority. "Yes, Ma'am...but as a COMMAND Officer, I out-rank you....don't I?" Lokna asked back, with as much authority, taking Larian by surprise. "I'm sorry Cadet, but as Chief of Medical Ops, and commander of this Transport, our course should be to Dien Alpha..."Larian demanded. Lokna angrily sighed, "and as it is said under Fleet Guidelines, Section 121-42, subsection 4A, A Command officer, regardless of Rank, is allowed to take Command of ANY Ship, platoon, transport, or any Fleet operation, over a lower ranking Fleet Level...." he quoted official Fleet rules. ---Telorn Forest--1600 hrs Will Avers and Luis Ordonez-Ruiz were still on the edge of the Telorn forest, waiting for a response from the Fleet outpost they had gotten a return signal from. Standing up, and hearing a noticeable POP as he stood, Will walked over to the edge of a row of trees and hedges, "I'm gonna go scout the area..." he said to Luis, who was picking at the busted console they'd found hours earlier. "You got the comm?" Luis asked him, looking towards him. Will nodded, "contact me if you hear anything...relay all incoming signals...and stay alert Cadet." As Will approached a clearing, he suddenly had a feeling he was being watched. Checking his blaster, he saw it was only about half-power, same for his side arm. It was then he noticed a large, approaching shadow coming from behind him. A Detox jumped on top of him, tackling him to the grass, and trying to choke the life out of him. "GET OFF ME!!" Will yelled, as he found leverage, and managed to fight the attacking Detox off of him, and flipped himself free. The Detox took out his Tark-Na-Kol, a type of taser that renders victims unconscious, and motioned it towards Will, who saw it before it was too late, and quickly ducked out of the way, causing the Detox to growl loudly, which made Will stare back, hearing such a brutal sounding noise from the enemy soldier. Looking around, Will quickly found himself surrounded, as 7 more Detox popped out behind the trees, and began to make similar noises--not actual dialogue, but somehow managed to communicate with each other. Each with their own Tark-Na-Kol, and looking, staring at Will, who knew he had to think fast. Will looked at the Detox, the one he'd been tackled by, and noticed it was obviously in Lead, and couldn't believe that the Fleet's oldest enemy were basically faceless--as normal Detox wore the same standard Armor and Helmet. The Lead Detox lunged towards Will, and charged, followed by the others. Will motioned to grab his M-Class of the ground, but was zapped by a taser, which took the wind out of him. "Son of a b****..." Will swore as he gained himself, and was able to grab his weapon, and turned it to fire and shoot down 3 Detox. Another Detox attacked him, but Will quickly grabbed it's taser, and turned it into the soldier's chest, frying him, and leaving a smoking body on the ground. The remaining Detox motioned to attack, but Will quickly unclipped his seldom-used Plasma blade, normally for slicing metal and once a main piece of standard field equipment, but now mainly used by Will, and a few other Special Ops. A quick slice of the blade easily slashed off the nearest Detox soldier's arm, taking it by surprise. Will then watched, and nearly vomitted, as he saw the Detox pick its detached arm off the ground, and was able to reattach it to his shoulder. Just then a large phaze cannon blast shook the area, blowing a hole in the treeline, and taking 2 more Detox. Will looked up to see a pair of Two-Person Fighters, TPF's, on approach. "THIS IS FLEET!!" a loud voice said over a comm channel. "Thank God..." Will sighed, as he watched the couple of remaining Detox flee back into the forest. After landing, the pair of fighter's crew headed over to Will. "Lieutenant?" a Pilot asked. "You're command, good...I need reinforcements if we're gonna keep this planet." Will began, as he was handed a canteen, and swigged some of the water. "I understand Lieutenant, but Command is occupied defending Tal Prime, as the Detox threat is nearing..." the Pilot explained. "What...?" Will asked. "A couple hours ago, luckily the supply ships, and reinforcements were able to get away, we launched from one of the Transports that made it here. But it looks like the Medical Transport had to re-route..." the Pilot replied. "Can you contact the Outpost?" Will asked. "No...comm is down, Detox have set up a communications block...probably a satellite in orbit..." the Pilot replied. "Damn..."Will muttered, hoping like all did, that something good would happen. ---Mobile Outpost "Cadet Lewis, report." Bais Falkar stated as she arrived with Ed Lewson, the first survivor Will had found. She removed her helmet, and felt the battle drive of her people, the Martonians. A busy trooper, who was being treated for a phazer burn looked at Bais, "Trooper Falkar, Lieutenant Avers hasn't checked in yet. It's been nearly a day...", he replied. "Contact the nearest beacon, see if you can relay a message to Command. Tell them we have a Code Alpha, we need reinforcements as soon as possible..." Bais commanded. "Ma'am, Comm is down. Detox Satellite is blocking all bandwidths...the transports that made it are trying to locate it." Lewis explained. "Acknowledged, someone help this man...he's the only survivor we've found so far." Bais commanded as she headed back outside, grabbing her helmet and checked her M-Class energy. ---Strategic Command Command Ship, orbiting Dien Alpha--1700 hrs Lieutenant General Caplan Derricks made his way to the bridge of the Fleet's largest vessel, after a debrief with the other Generals was interrupted by sudden loss of comm signal. As he walked approached the bridge, he saw an officer approach him, then salute. "Sir. We're having problems with our Communications...." the officer explained. "So I figure..." Derricks nodded. "Any reports from Velo Alpha?" The officer shook his head, "General Calson hasn't reported in yet. Once on the bridge, all stood and saluted as Derricks entered. "Commanding Officer on the bridge!" Sub-Admiral Delin'ki stated. "Thank you Admiral. All hands prepare to break orbit. All non-essential personnel to quarters." Derricks orderd his crew. Sitting down, Derricks looked up at Delin'ki, "Sit down Admiral..." "Thank you sir, but you know I prefer to stand..." Delin'ki shook his head. "I know, but I hate looking up at people..." Derricks laughed. "Besides it's going to be a while...haven't I told you that you'll get farther in life if you learn to relax a little...?" chuckling at the Velorran's posture. Delin'ki nodded, then slowly sat in a seat next to Derricks, not finding himself used to sitting down. He looked over at Derricks. "It's....uncomfortable....but I can try to relax...Sir." Derricks just shook his head, and sighed, "Someday Baltcor--someday..." he tried to hold in his laughter. "Sir, one of the ships is under attack, their engines are failing...!" the Comm officer reported, as sensors were blaring "Make course, get us there quickly!" Derricks commanded, looking towards the view screen. The Command ship approached a Transport, under attack from a Detox Battle Cruiser, and it quickly fired, taking the enemy ship's attention away. "SIR! I'm getting a strange reading from the Detox ship...it's some sort of fusion energy..." Delin'ki reported, as he scanned the area. "What...?" Derricks asked. "Fusion energy---I haven't seen anything use that in decades...can we..." "I'm not sure, Sir...but it..."Delin'ki was cut off, as suddenly the nearby Fleet Orbitting Station was destroyed, sending a large energy wave, knocking out the close by Transport, and the Command Ship. "REPORT!!" Derricks yelled. "Fusion Bomb!!" Delin'ki exclaimed, as the crew quickly tried to get the ship's systems back, as the ship shook, sending crew to the deck. "Shields!?" Derricks asked, as he regained himself, and looked towards the floating debris in space. "Prepare for anything...there's a reason the Fleet outlawed Fusion technology." "42%....no...39%....cascade drop...Fusion energy is diffusing the shield strength..."Delin'ki reported. "I...I'm not sure sir..." "Hell...arm weapons, aim towards those b*stards..." Derricks commanded, not wanting to let a lone Detox craft be his downfall. The Command ship blasted the Detox craft, blowing a large hole in it's side. "SIR! Direct Hit!" the Tactical officer cheered, but quickly changed his outlook when the sensors blared again. "More ships on approach, 4 Detox--all ready and armed..." Delin'ki began to report, but the ship was blasted again. "Hell! Return Fire!!" Derricks yelled, preparing for more attacks from an enemy he'd fought most of his life. Memories of his first command, and of the Detox attacks against Dien Alpha, which he'd witnessed, came rushing back. A wave of torpedoes blasted the closest 2 Detox ships, destroying one, and taking another offline. The nearly disabled Transport, with just enough power, aimed it's low-yield weapons at another Detox ship, doing enough damage, to trigger an explosive reaction. But another Detox ship blasted back, destroying the weakened Transport, and then hit the Command ship. "Get cannons back online!" Derricks yelled, as another blast shook the ship. The tactical officer was flipped from her post, nearly knocking her out. Derricks jumped to the post, and took control, firing what weapons were left. Another shot hit the Command ship, but Derricks stood strong as he re-targetted the weapons array, and blasted back, destroying the last of the Detox ships. "Nice shot sir!" an officer congratulated Derricks, who remembered earlier battles against his life-long foe. "Engines back up, Sir..." the Helmsman reported, happy to do so, as he hit the controls and set a retreat course, predicting Derricks command. "Great! Get us out of here...maximum warp--set course to Telorn..." Derricks, sitting back down after helping a fallen officer back to her feet, replied. Location: Velo Alpha, Fleet Mining Colony 4 Date: 2092:04:11, 0100 hrs The world of Velo Alpha, one big frozen ball of ice and snow, the homeworld of the Velorrans, which was also once the location of the Allied Fleets first base, nearly 50 years earlier, was now home to several Fleet mining colonies in it's southern hemisphere. General Carl Calson made his way down an icy hallway, where a few crew were repairing some of the Mining operation's outdated consoles. He hadn't been here a whole lot since he made the rank of General, partially due to the fact that he hated the Velorran climate. "Sir..." a busy tech saw the General, and saluted him. "Relax crewman....how's it going?" Calson asked, trying to maintain his composure, despite the obvious cold. "How's the heating system coming?" "As good as it can, Sir....these consoles are a decade old...still operating on an old basecode..." the tech replied. "Heating's having problems...I think we're overdue for another system's recalibration...Sir." "Hmm...have you tried using a power converter, or an auxillary port generator?" Calson asked, suggesting what he would try. Suddenly he heard the loud whirring noise of a nearby heating vent come to life, as a small breeze of warmer air came flowing out. "There it is..." the tech smiled up from his work, looking at Calson, who was rubbing his arms to keep warm. "Sir?" Calson laughed, "No problem, good luck on the repairs..." he tried to smile, as he walked down the corridor to the Mining chief's office. Entering the even colder office, Calson saw the Outpost's Chief Operator, who was walking towards him, holding a pair of calibration tools. "General...I take it this is an emergency, especially with what's going on over on Telorn..." the Operator, Larz Khoszta stated. "What's the word?" Calson asked as he checked a console's display. "The seismic readings are strong, it appears the 3rd Perimeter drill found a pocket of unstable gases..." Khoszta reported. "How are the readings? Do we have time to shut down that drill?" Calson asked, nut knew how important the recent mining operations were to the rest of the Fleet. "Possibly...but without the 3rd drill, we'd be short on the reserve numbers...and with all that's going on, we'll need all we can get..." Khoszta replied. Suddenly the complex shook as a seismic flare began to weaken the already weakened structure. Calson and Khoszta ran down the corridor into the Mining Operations Center, and saw more debris falling as another quake shook. "Sir! We've just lost the 3rd and 4th drills...losing structural integrity!!" an officer reported. "Crewman, contact my Transport in orbit, tell then to prepare to beam out as many as they can." Calson ordered. "And have all other crews ready--if we have to, we'll need to set charges and collapse the tunnels manually. If one blows, they could all blow." "Sir??" the crewman asked Khoszta. "You heard the General..." Khoszta ordered. "Get all crew out. And prepare for closing the tunnels. We can't risk any more danger." in agreement with Calson. "How much have we refined?" Calson asked, amidst the hurrying officers. "Not much, the 4th Shift finished filling most of the Reserve tanks, but with the possibilty of ruptures, they're unstable..." Khoszta explained. "That's not what I wanted to hear...."Calson sighed, when another, much larger quake shook the complex, knocking consoles off walls, and tearing a hole in the ceiling. "SIR!! Tanks 40-through-80 have ruptured!!" an officer yelled. "sh*t!!" Calson exclaimed, knowing there was potential for a possible planet-wide emergency. "Khosta--give the order. We'll just have to collapse the tunnels. Create a safety field..." "This is Operator Khosta! We're initiating emergency protocols. Set charges for manual closure of the tunnels. Set all feeds to 12%--safety zone. We're closing down the mines!!" Khoszta yelled over the System's comm. "General, the Transport is ready---standing by for transportation..." an officer reported to Calson. "Good...have all personnel make their way to the transport bays, and prepare to break orbit once all crew is ready." Calson began. "Khoszta, get the systems back up as soon as you can." Khoszta nodded, "Sir. We've been through worst. But I have every bit of confidence that the mines will be up within a week. Until then..." Sighing, Calson agreed, also knowing the serious necessity of the mine's need in the ongoing battle against the Detox. "Are you staying behind?" he asked. "I'll stay, keep a few techs down here. We can manually close the feeds, and keep the systems stable." Khoszta nodded. --------------- More later

Here's more from Part 1: ------------------------
---Telorn Outpost, Telorn Forest
Will had made it back to the Fleet line, and was looking over as the lead pilot approached him. "Major Everett, what is it?" Will asked, as he checked his arm guard. "The second convoy on its way has lost communications with the Command Ship..." Everett reported. "What? When?" Will asked. "A few hours ago...but they did report that the Medical Transport is flying near Detox space..." Everett explained. "sh*t...what are they doing there??" Will asked again. "They had to re-route, as an oncoming subspace disturbance was in their approach...but I think they hit the outer edge of it....tracking them is impossible." Everett added. Bais Falkar ran over to them, "Sir, the transmitter has picked up a distress call from a stray Special Ops Transport near Vega Prime..." "Vega Prime?? That's right in the heart of Detox space...what are they doing there? Transmit a comm, tell them to re-route back here..." Will ordered Bais. "Avers, I'm the Senior Officer here, Command--so I'm giving the orders." Everett declared. Looking directly at Will, as he immediately assumed command of the group, being the higher rank, and an officer in Strategic Command. "Listen Major, I don't care...this is MY Platoon, MY soldiers, and MY outpost..." Will stated, sternly. "NO, Lieutenant--this is a FLEET Outpost, don't make me quote regulations, cause I know you were an Ace in the academy..."Everett scoffed back. "Fine...Major, what are your orders, Sir??" Will asked. "Alright, Troopers and Cadets. As a Major in Strategic Command, I'm wanting order...first thing's first, we must have a fully established communications signal. Which we have...NEXT we need to send some scouts on recon to establish a perimeter for incoming Transports...any volunteers?" Everett asked. Bais raised her hand, followed by Will. "Good, you two take my TPF to establish a far point, 25 km north of here, set up a landing zone for the Transports to land. The report back as soon as you have the beacons up. Is that clear??" Everett asked, looking directly at Will, who wasn't looking back. "Lieutenant Avers??" Will scoffed, "No...", with immediate disrespect for the Command officer. "Excuse me? You have your orders Avers..." Everett led off. "With all due "respect", SIR, screw you! I'm Special Ops! I do what MY Commanding Officer tells me to do, and no one else--and THAT is Matka-Lean, not some punkass Major from Command!!" Will yelled, with no care about his career, as he hopped on a skid bike, and jetted away. The nearby troopers all looked at the stupified Major, who cleared his throat, "...what are you all standing around for? You have your orders!" Everett exclaimed.
Will arrived at a cliff, and stopped his skid bike a few meters from the edge. Stepping onto the dusty terrain, he accessed his arm guard, now repaired, and scanned the area. "The Gorge of No Return..." he chuckled to himself, as he knew the area well, having been caught in a fire fight or two in the last few weeks in the area. He walked back to his skid bike, and grabbed his charged M-Class, and a ration pack. "Mmmm..Ration Pack 34..dried fruit and Martonian biscuits..." Will slowly chewed the off-tasting food, as he sat against his bike, and enjoyed an overdue, albeit not too tasty, meal. His computer beeped, and he opened it. It was a comm, he activated it. "This.....Command......Major....Detox has us.....HELP!!" a garbled sounding, static-filled transmission barely came through. Without even hesitating, he dropped his snack, hopped on his bike, and headed back in the direction of the Outpost, running faster then he ever had before.
Once he arrived, the obvious, and horrifying carnage he saw took by surprise. Flaming debris, and a few scattered bodies of his former, fellow Fleet, was a horrifying sight. It looked like a Detox gunner had blasted the area, sinking Will's hope. "God...." he barely got out, as he held in the little he'd just ate. He saw Everett, lying limp over the remains of an Outpost console, bloody and singed. Ed Lewson, the man he'd saved, was dead as well. Just another casualty on the list. 6 Troopers, many of which he'd served with at one time, or another, were also gone. Will removed his helmet, and gave the honorably departed a moment of silence.
A sudden tone. A beeping was heard. Will rushed over to a still working transmitter, and saw it was still operational. "This is Lieutenant Avers. Special Ops has suffered severe casualties on Telorn. 8 Dead, 5 Missing. Amongst the missing Fleet is a Cadet, Medical Ops, Luis Ordonez-Ruiz, the lone survivor from the fallen Medical Transport that crashed...to ANY who hear this, please send back up--FAST!" Will exclaimed over an open comm, and hoped to hear anything in response. He stood back up, and used his scanner to detect anything around him. Seconds later the transmitter beeped. "Lieutenant Avers. This is the Forward Strategic Command Outpost--we're picking up your distress beacon..." a barely clear voice said over the comm. "Outpost--can you send...wait, Command Outpost? On Velo Alpha??" Will asked. "Yes......we've been ordered to widen our range, comm is flickering, but we've got word that Fleet transports are on their way to Telorn. General Calson is leading the convoy..." the voice replied. Will sighed. Reinforcements were on their way.
It had been nearly an hour, and no further communication. His pacing was getting tiring, so he stopped, and suddenly heard a loud scream coming from deep in the trees.
Running into the forest, he saw a group of 3 Detox soldiers standing over a pair of Fleet troopers. "AAHHHH!!!" Will yelled in battle cry, as he blasted 2 of the Detox quickly, causing the 3rd to flee. Will walked over to the 2 Fleet, one was lying dead, the other looked up at Will. "Lieutenant?" it was Luis, who was glad to see a familiar face. "You're alive??" Will asked, glad to see Luis. Luis nodded, "barely..." Will crouched beside Luis, and used a small med kit to clean a cut on Luis' face. "How did you make it? What happened?" Will asked. "What do you think? Me and Cadet Jutha made it this far, but we were confronted by the Detox....they had Gun platforms, blasted....God..."Luis remembered the attack on the Outpost, barely making it out, after being found mere minutes before the attack. "Where were you...? I never back-tracked..." Will began. "Got spotted by a TPF, lifted back to the Outpost..." Luis remembered, then it hit him, that the officers who picked him up were now dead. The realization of being smack dab in the middle of such hell was almost too much for the young cadet. The two arrived at what was left of the outpost, and looked at the still present carnage. "Hand me that med kit..." Luis pointed to the Medical Kit Will had, then searched through it. "Damn...no pain killer...I think I popped something in my leg...." "Gonna have to live with it....until we can get back up....this hunk of rock is NOT worth the sh*t we're dealing with..."Will, angry at the Command decision to try to take claim over Telorn. "There's ships coming, right?" Luis asked. "Yep...Command transports, and hopefully Medical as well..."Will replied. "How many troops on a Command ship?" Luis asked. "About 600....which we'll need every one of. Let's just hope they can get here sooner, rather than later. The last thing we need is to lose Telorn." Will replied. "Sir. Why do we need this planet? Isn't it a lost cause...? I mean...I'm sorry, but there's a reason the Telorrans died out..." Luis scoffed. Will shook his head. "I know. But this is also the only source of some of the rarest minerals in the system....and if we don't get to them, the Detox will. Which will give them the advantage....and we don't want that." Luis nodded, being set right by Will's reply.
---Command Transport #9, passing Titans--0400 hrs
"Commander...we are nearing a debris field...looks like what's left from an Artise scouting mission..." an officer reported to the Transport's commander, Commander Radd*ck. "Anything on sensors?" Radd*ck asked, as he walked over to the officer. "Are there any survivors?" "Sir, there's an approaching vessel, it's an Artise hauler..." the Scan Officer reported. "They're stable, but I'm only getting a few lifesigns..." "Hail them!" Radd*ck commanded. "Open..." the Comm officer nodded. "This is Fleet Strategic Command Transport #9. Please state your designation..." Radd*ck stated over the channel. "...This is the...Hauler, Yavix...we're....Detox..." a loud static-filled comm came through. "Can we clear it up?" Radd*ck asked the comm officer, who nodded, then re-opened the channel. "Yavix, repeat--what happened here? Are you alright?" "This is Captain Rutha....we are the last of the fleet--we were on a mining mission to Titans...but Detox showed up..." the Yavix's captain explained. Suddenly the Transport was hit by enemy fire, as a pair of Detox cruisers dropped out of Warp and blasted them.
"REPORT!!" Radd*ck yelled, as he was nearly threw from his command chair. "Two Detox ships! They're opening fire on the Hauler!! They're is losing integrity!" the Scanner exclaimed. "Get is between them! Ready weapons, Fire at those Detox!!" Radd*ck ordered. The Transport's weaponry blasted back, quickly destroying one of the Detox ships, but a stray torpedo missed the second Detox, and grazed the Hauler. "Sir! One of our torpedoes lost it's trajectory....the Hauler has been hit!!" the Tactical officer reported. "What the hell?" Radd*ck asked. "Send an apology to the Hauler, and re-target the weapons. Do a systems check..." "The hauler is losing integrity!!" the tactical officer exclaimed, when a few seconds later the weakened Artise ship exploded, killing the remaining crew. The rest of the Fleet convoy quickly caught up, and opened fire on the attacking Detox ship, joining Transport 9, and easily destroyed the enemy craft. "Sir...I'm not getting any more readings of Detox...." an officer reported to Radd*ck, who tried to calm back down after the firefight. "Have the rest of the convoy resume course for Telorn. And contact the Artise government, tell them of their ships." Radd*ck sat back in the command chair, and tried to take heart in the fact that there was one less Detox ship in the war.
---Medical Transport #84, nearing Fexlran-Tifki
"Cadet Tahiri, we are nearing Fexlran-Tifki....yet we aren't detecting any traceable Detox signatures..." the Scanner Post officer reported as Tahiri made his way on the Bridge, and sat down at the Command chair, being in Strategic Command he was the officially-highest ranking Officer on the ship.
"Good, keep scanning...let me know if anything shows up." Tahiri nodded, as he was handed a updated report, on a padd. Lokna and Jacklyn came onto the Bridge, and looked to see Tahiri widely-smiling as he sat at Command. "Leo...?" Jacklyn asked. "Yeah, what's up?" Tahiri asked as he looked up at the two, as he glanced up from his reading, then handed the padd to an officer, who walked over to a console. "Lokna and I were talking....what if the Super-Computer is on Fexlran...?" Jacklyn asked. "The what? Super-Computer...?" Tahiri asked back. "Yeah....the Detox Super-Computer, y'know....??" Jacklyn asked again. "That's just a myth..."Tahiri smirked. "No its not....the Detox are controlled by it. That's why they fight us. They're under mind control..." Jacklyn explained. Tahiri shook his head, then saw a pair of Detox Cruisers on an approach vector. "Evasive manuevers, activate shields!" Tahiri commanded, as he prepared for an attack. Lokna and Jacklyn took their posts. "Scanners have picked up a large energy signature coming from Fexlran-Tifki's surface....odd." Jacklyn, at the Scanner console, replied. "What do you mean?" Lokna, at a nearby console, asked. "It's....Photonic, which is weird enough alone..." Jacklyn began. "Photonic?" Tahiri asked. "I didn't think such a thing actually existed. "SIR! Enemy cruiser within range! They're firing weapons!!" the helmsman exclaimed, as 84 shook violently. "Return Fire!!" Tahiri demanded, as he slipped from his seat, and stared at the attacking ships. He wanted to do some good, and take out a few Detox. Feeling nothing but hatred towards those that had killed his family. The tactical officer nodded, slamming the controls and firing back at the Detox, hitting one cruiser's engines, and grazing the second's hull. "Sir...our weapons are at low yield, that subspace field we passed drained them..." the Tactical officer replied. "What? Hell....do what you can...and explain to me why we don't have a repair crew...?" Tahiri asked, looking with some annoyance at the response. "What to you expect? Frantic departure, Tal Prime under attack..." Lokna reminded Tahiri, who just nodded. Another blast from the Detox cruisers hit the ship, knocking the Transport's shields strength. "Shields at 70%, and dropping!!" Lokna taking tactical as the posted ensign was flung to the deck. "Send an Emergency Comm--any Fleet ships--we're getting fragged!!" Tahiri exlaimed. "Sir, weapons offline!!" Lokna yelled, as he tried to fire back, but the console wasn't responding. "Hell....any ideas?" Tahiri asked, walking over, then nearly fell over from another Detox blast. Jacklyn suddenly had an idea, as she accessed the controls for the Transport's deflector systems. "Sir, if we modify the deflector dish--we can use a high-energy pulse, and disable the lead Detox..." she suggested. "Do it!" Tahiri ordered, hoping for something to work.
Arriving at Deflector Control, one deck below in Engineering, Lokna and Jacklyn were approached by the Senior Engineer, a Major. "Ensign Ruiz?" the Major asked. "Deflector control...? Lokna asked, but saw Jacklyn over by the console. Jacklyn, assisted by an engineer tech, accessed the console, and managed to adjust the Deflector frequency. "Got it! Ensign Ruiz to Bridge! Deflector Pulse ready!" Jacklyn exclaimed over the Comm.
"Hit it!" Tahiri ordered Jacklyn, over the comm Jacklyn slammed the panel, causing the Deflector to shoot a high-energy pulse, blasting the Lead, and second Detox ship. Both exploded.
"Nice shot!" Lokna congratulated Jacklyn. But the cheers were cut short, as suddenly the entire Transport lost power. "What happened?" "Must've crossed the relays--great..." Jacklyn realized as she tried to identify the source of the power failure.
"Report!" Tahiri stated, as he stood up in the darkened bridge, and saw the ship's emergency power was barely working. "Minimal power only, Sir. The Deflector must have overloaded, shields at low strength." an officer reported. "Great....have all crews prepare for possible intruder alert..."Tahiri began. "Do we have Comm?" "Only on the Bridge, and the Emergency Bay..." the officer replied. "Okay, okay....get down to the Chief. Tell her the situation, and have her report to the Emergency Bay, we'll set up a secondary command there. Have all Troopers get gear, and some for me as well..." Tahiri ordered as he left the Bridge.
Back in Engineering, Lokna and Jacklyn were assisting the crew with the sudden power loss. "Lokna, you're Martonian....can't you like...use your telepathy...?" Jacklyn questioned. "What? That's just a myth...besides, how would THAT help?" Lokna asked back. "Major, we have minimal power, but engines are gone. Lifts and Doors operational..." an engineer tech reported to the Major. Walking over to the doors, Lokna and another officer slowly budged them open, and found the corridor minimally lighted. "Does this ship have a weapons storage?" he asked the officer. "Deck 3, but lifts are barely working....we're re-routing all available power to gravity, and environmental controls..." the officer replied. "Great...Jackyln, you coming?" Lokna looked back at Jacklyn, who ran over to him. Making their way down to the 3rd Deck, Lokna and Jacklyn walked down the corridor. Jacklyn used an mobile scanner, and tried to locate the Weapons Storage. "20 Meters....but this thing is having problems...."Jacklyn shook the scanner, trying to get a clearer reading. Lokna looked down the walkway, and suddenly saw something. "What was that?" he asked. "What was what?" Jacklyn, looking at him asked back, curious as to what he was talking about. "Did you see that?" he asked again, nervous as he was questioning his own eyes. "See what?" she asked, looking towards Lokna, then glancing back down the corridor. "I thought I saw something...down the hallway." he replied. Jacklyn looked down the hall, then tried her scanner again. "One lifesign, a few meters away....might be one of the Security Troops posted outside the Storage...." she suggested. Lokna and Jacklyn slowly approached the Storage. "I'm getting two....biosigns....no clear definition...not sure who they are." Jacklyn explained. "You hear that?" Lokna whispered, ash e suddenly heard what sounded like pair of footsteps, that seemed to be coming closer. Then, suddenly a loud YELL, and quickly silence. "What the hell..." Lokna led off. They quickly ran down the hallway, towards the source of the yell, and found the Storage room. Pulling the door open, Jacklyn shrieked as a limp body fell onto the deck. "Oh my God....it's Cadet Harris..." she recognized the dead man. "Any readings....?" Lokna asked, as he bent down to inspect the fallen crewmember's body. "Weapon energy detected...but it's got a Fleet signature trace." Jacklyn explained, scanning the fallen crewmember. She felt herself beginning to lose control, but she knew she had to maintain her composure. "You okay?" Lokna could notice the hesitant look on her. "Sorry...just, well...unprepared for something like this...guess I don't have your Martonian stomach..." she lightly chuckled. Shaking off a lingering feeling, Lokna and Jacklyn entered the Weapons Storage, which looked like it had been ransacked. A few more crew, now lifeless, were on the floor, all having been shot. "More energy readings....confirmed, Fleet signature..." Jacklyn, scanning, led off. "It looks like this place was scavenged for weapons..." Lokna looked around, and saw there were only a few scattered weapons, mostly sidearms. "How many....looks like only a few side arms, and an M-Class, geez..."Jacklyn spotted, as she walked past the bodies, many of whom she knew, and grabbed what she could find. "6 Dead....but how...?" Lokna asked, as she handed him a weapon. "How do you think? Our shields are down...." Jacklyn replied. "We need to find a secure spot to re-establish controls..." Lokna nodded, then readied his sidearm, as they headed back out into the dimly-lit corridor, followed by Jacklyn, armed as well. Both not knowing what possibly lie ahead.
Location: Telorn Outpost, Telorn Forest--0800 hrs
"Lieutenant Avers, Report." General Calson stated as he saw Will was helping an injured trooper. As the second Convoy had arrived just a few minutes before, with Calson's Transport landing first.
Will approached Calson, and saluted one of his favorite C.O.s. "General, we've sustained heavy losses. There are nearly a dozen Troopers M.I.A." he reported. "Good job Will. I've left Matka in charge of getting Tal Prime's defenses back up. I'll be taking command, but I want you to take charge of the Special Ops Platoon...." Calson explained."How are you liking Command?" "Not quite the circumstances I'd prefer, but I'm just glad we have reinforcements. How many Ops do I have?" Will asked, looking to see a freshly-arrived batch of Special Ops troopers. "25 Special Ops Troops, ready to land. Plus a platoon of Medical Troops, 40 strong. 450 Troops from Strategic Command ready..." Calson replied. He knew Will could handle the command of a platoon, being one of the most innovative and daring troopers to come out of the Academy in years. "Great to hear, lets hope we can hold the lines..." Will sighed, as he saw the group of Special Ops waiting for orders. "Same here....take your Troops, and 4 Medical..."Calson led off, as a trooper ran over to him. "What is it?" "General Calson---we have word on the Detox line. There are strange readings--similar to what we picked up earlier. We're not able to clearly identify them..." the trooper reported. "Will, feel like scouting the Detox?" Calson asked the attentive lieutenant. "Roger that sir, troops and equipment is all I need..." Will nodded and saluted.
The 450 Command Troops, having made their way from the Transports, arrived at the Front Line in front of the Forest outpost.
"Command Troops! All of you fine, brave Men and Women are here today because out enemy, the Detox have made themselves a dangerous threat. The continually attack and destroy our way of life, and turn Prime One into one large Battlefield. But as of THIS moment, we will take a stand, and make them pay!" Calson exclaimed, causing the Fleet forces to cheer. The 450 troops, excluding the 36 remaining Medical troops, who'd set up an Emergency Tent, and a few Field Posts, readied themselves--dividing in 9 separate platoons, and waited for the first signs of any Detox to make their way towards the hopefully-well defended line. It had been over a decade since the last Major battle in the war versus the Detox, which marked one of the biggest moments in Prime One, which led to the Detox retaliating, by attacking Dien Alpha. But tiime seemed to almost slow down as the Fleet waited for the first sign of any oncoming Detox forces. Impatient troops, some barely out of the Academy, some seeing their first serious action, nervously stared into the slow moving mist, trying to maintain their calm.
Meanwhile, Will had separated the 25 Special Ops, 12 with him, and 13 in a second unit--each unit had 2 Medical as well. Will's unit, "Alpha", headed past the front line. "Beta", led by Lieutenant Jakrid-Malni, a Veloran, stayed back.
One of Telorn's mountain ridges, a group of Detox Shuttle Cruisers, basically armored tanks, began to fly low across the terrain, approaching the Fleet line. The lead Cruiser maintained it's stationary position, at the cliff line. A row of Detox gunners, stationary blasters, platooned by 25 Detox soldiers, were readying to aim at the Fleet below.
"Gentlemen...this is Calson. Stand ready. Do not fire until the gunners are down. Special Ops is on target..." Calson commanded, as he knew that this was the day that many had waited for. This was the day that the Fleet would finally get an advantage, no matter what the cost, over their enemies.
"Alpha" made their way up to a barely climbable ledge, steep, but managable, on their way towards the position of a few of the Detox gunners. Will drew his M-Class, as did the 8 of the 12 others. The other 4, and 2 Medical readied below, in case of a quick exit.
Will, and his 8 approached a spotted Detox tank, but was spotted by a lone Detox soldier, who fired a blast from his rifle, barely missing the platoon. A trooper ducked and recovered, then fired back, killing the Detox. But the proud trooper was soon fired at, killed, as another Detox appeared. Will blasted the soldier, and soon the troops regained themselves, and made their way up the ledge, while more blasts from the Detox, who'd caught them in their sites. "MOVE!!" Will yelled as they quickly fled.
As they approached the Detox tank, Will swiftly hopped on top of the armored tank, and blasted open the top hatch. A Detox growled at him, peering from inside the tank, who Will blasted, then tossed onto the dirt below. Tossing a single neumo-grenade inside the tank, Will hopped off, and ran, followed by the troopers. Seconds later, the tank EXPLODED!
Back at the Forest edge, Calson awaited word from Will. His growing unease was starting to become a problem. "Sir! We have word from Avers....one Cruiser down. But Ensign Malki was killed...." a commander reported. "Hell...tell Will good job. Have his "Beta" team approach the south ridge. Send a Comm to Avers. Have him take "Alpha" a Northern route....there's a bunker that was scanned earlier. Tell him to investigate." Calson instructed. "Lieutenant Avers. Come in." the Commander said over Will's comm. "This is Avers..." Will responded, as he avoided a Detox blast, then fired back, knocking one enemy soldier down. "Calson is ordering you to take a the North route. Investigate a possible bunker..." the Commander explained. "Acknowledged. Okay people, remember that old Bunker that was scanned?" Will asked his troops, after ending the comm. "Sir? The old Telorran one?" a trooper asked. "Yep. That's our target....Medical, take the Ensign back to base..." Will instructed. "Sir...? You need Medical, as standard field guidelines state..." a Medical trooper stated. "Calson put me in charge--so I want you to take the Ensign back...that's an Order!" Will exclaimed. "Sir!" the other Medical troop saluted, as they helped the wounded trooper back down towards a safety zone.
At the same time, "Beta" approached the south ridge of the large cliff, where the Detox were positioned. "I need 4 troops to climb over to those gunners..." Lieutenant Malni began to order his platoon. The troops all suddenly froze. "Sir....." one pointed in the direction of the Detox. "What..." Malni began to ask, as he looked over. A Detox tank was aimed right at them "FALL BA...." was all that was heard as the tank fired and completely obliterated the squad.
"General Calson...I've just recieved word from what was left of "Beta"..." a troop, running towards Calson, blurted out as he ducked into the base camp. "What?" Calson asked, in shock from the report. "3 troopers left, "Beta" was blasted....they're in the Medical camp..." the trooper reported. "Notify Will. Activate the Emergency Comm, tell Fleet Command Ship. Special Ops will need a re-supply, and send word for another Transport." Calson explained. "We're gonna need as much help as we can get. "Aye, Sir!" the trooper saluted. Calson looked up at the ridge, as he stepped out of the small base camp, and approached the front line. Through the fading mist, he could see the clearly defined Detox forces. "What are they up to...?" he asked himself.
"Avers, come in!" Will heard on his comm, as "Alpha" made its way across the terrain to the Telorran bunker. "I hear you...." Will replied. He was waiting for a pair of his squad to head back towards them. "Beta is gone. Calson has ordered backup...." a Fleet trooper said over the comm. "sh*t....roger that....tell Calson we're nearing the Bunker." Will replied. "Acknowledged." the comm ended.
