You guys KNOW you have my blessing for a podcast!!! I may/may not be able to Skype Chat/PodCast--due to randomly scheduled days at work--but if YOU can get something done, I'd appreciate it. Send me a video/audio file and maybe I can slap it on the YouTube. Step UP to the plate, and deliver. I'm arranging for tonight at 8:30. Think you can make it? and if not, PM me the pass and I'll upload it.

Yeah, that works--
BUT we still need other things, save for a Podcast, to involve others. And not everyone is going to "subscribe" to a Podcast, and certainly not our Youtube.
ANY events you guys think we could get done, with some level of decent activity and success??

I'd like for TNE to keep going but I definitely notice the distinct lack of members.
I've also tried telling my friends about this forum and two of them even said they'd definitely join but then never did. Announcing TNE on Twitter doesn't seem to have had an impact either, I know I have some Nintendo fans as followers but there haven't been any takers yet.
One thing we might consider is broadening our topic, but that's a different discussion entirely, no?
I know I'm not the most active member and usually just post in bursts every other week or so, it's tough for me to stay active. Can't find that much to talk about. If we had more varying topics I might be able to put in more posts as replies. But coming up with topics to talk at length about is not my strong suit.
Also think we should tone down the whole tournament thing, make the WiFi hub more informal and have tournaments less often. I for one think it becomes somewhat of an annoyance after awhile when there are tournaments left and right that are looking for people to participate. Instead we should have them less often when there is a need for them, when more members are playing a specific game for instance.
In association with the tone-down of the tournaments, we could have a prize for the winner of the tournament rather than just a badge and some points. Because the tournaments would be less frequent the cost for the prizes wouldn't exceed what we have today, by my expectations.
I guess I'll keep it at that for now, don't need to ramble on for ever.

As for tournaments, I'm going to turn the focus on a few basic ones for the BIGGER games: MK8 and SSB(Wii U), if MORE people want ones for other games, we can see if others would be interested, do a poll, or whatever--and if things pan out, we can do MORE.
BUT the whole "Wifi Hub" concept wasn't JUST for tournaments, it was(and still IS) supposed to be for people just to arrange matches, play casually, and in-turn be used for tournaments when need be. I'd STILL like it to be a good point-of-interest for the site, if not, we can think about something else. I, personally, think it should stay, but since I'm not that "active" in online gaming I'd leave that up to those who DO more gaming.
The Badges WILL stay, maybe not as many, or something more general--like the "1 Year", etc ones for non-events. Shad and me chatted after the Podcast chat and he's gonna get to work on updating a few of the badges, and we can open a discussion elsewhere FOR the Badges(which is something I'd also like to keep, cause it's something I think can still work, maybe just be tweaked a bit).
AND there are sections for NON Gaming, they're just mostly forgotten about. TV, Movies, Music, Anime, NON-Gaming general topics that are probably a lot simpler to chat about.
We're not perfect, but we can still make this work--we ALL just need to pull together.

The fact the the sections for non-Nintendo stuff exists doesn't mean we care about them. Just saying... A "broader topic" might bring in people who do. But we're kind of lock into the whole Nintendo Element thing.. Is there any way to broaden the range of Nintendo topics we have?
